  1. Brainerd Road Wal-Mart had many boxes (2 less after I left ;-P) of 9mm and 40S&W WWB (100 packs) over the weekend. Note that this is very unusual so I can only assume/hope that means other stores in the area received a sizeable shipment. I'll be checking Gunbarrel Road in the next few days and report my findings.
  2. Sportsman's Warehouse off 153 has many boxes of centerfire handgun ammo in stock. Lots of Blazer and American Eagle to be had. 2 box per customer per day limit. Prices, while not ridiculous, don't beat Wally World, of course. $10.99 for 9mm Blazer (Aluminum), $14.99 for 9mm American Eagle. Nonetheless, since I'm not reloading, the Blazer is a reasonable round and at $1 more than I can get the same count at Wal-Mart. One of these days our Wal-Marts will get another boatload in like they did a couple months ago.
  3. mhm2a, what are your thoughts on pricing the SW40VE? I have mine with all the original stuff, a Handall grip, and 200 rounds up for $325. Too much or right on target?
  4. I'm selling my SW40VE. I'll let you know what it fetches if you'd like.
  5. Easy to find -- It's at the intersection of E Brainerd Road and Vance Rd./Premier Dr. There's actually a big sign that says Alhambra Shrine at the intersection.
  6. +1:koolaid:
  7. I'm actually hoping for used. So it goes, I'll give it a try.
  8. Not seeing anything posted so forgive me if this is a repost. This will be my first time going to this show. Apparently tickets are $6. Since I live right down the hill, the wife pretty much can't say no. Has anyone been to this show in the past? What should I expect? I'm taking my SW40VE hoping to sell/trade. I'm looking for a Ruger P-89/95 as my wife and I are so much more comfortable with it. Anyone else going? What do you think my chances are of coming out with a good deal?
  9. I have the exact same pistol as my first gun. I love it but I don't yet know any better ;-). Ignorance is bliss. Taking a borrowed Ruger P-89 to the range tomorrow, so that may change my whole outlook. But hey, if my Sigma is as difficult to shoot as many complain it is, I should be a crack shot with the Ruger...
  10. I wonder if that's a price error at your WM (or maybe mine). The Federal and Blazer are the exact same price in .40 S&W at about 5 WMs close to me.
  11. :cool:No sweat... but since you've obviously been checking the WMs, do let me know if you see JHP. The clerk at the Hixson location said they DO get it in but very rarely. I'm certain when they do get it in, the price can't be beat!
  12. Y'all would pick one of the few weeks I'll be out of town...
  13. Agree... but I said JHP. FMJ is all I've seen at any of those Wal-Marts.
  14. Dick's on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga had a dozen boxes of .40 S&W and 9mm yesterday. Also worth noting, MidwayUSA backorder date for some of their lower priced stuff seems to be 6/20. I think this shortage is coming to a close. Nonetheless, if anyone sees any .40 S&W JHP at a Wal-Mart within a reasonable distance of Chattanooga, let me know.
  15. Hixson Wal-Mart has 4 boxes of Federal .40 S&W at 2:00p 6/16. That's after me buying 4 boxes. They did have a boatload on Monday so best to get it quick if you need it.
