  1. Nice work! Have fun with it.
  2. I love my B.A.D. lever. Nice score.
  3. I've used one that a friend of mine has. It's bulky, but overall a great little knife.
  4. Sorry to hear that. Sounds like something on the contoller board cooked. We're noticing mean time between failure on hard drives - especially maxtors post seagate acquisition is way shorter than it used to be. I think their QC has gone through the floor.
  5. If it seems to spin up okay, you're welcome to bring it to me. If you can wait a couple of days, we'll work it into the schedule and get it on one of our forensic workstations. If it's just dropped it's file allocation tables or partition information we should be able to recover the data. PM me if you want.
  6. My guess is that they are trying to get these off the books before they potentially lose their majority in November and the Republicans get control of ethics proceedings and show the true depth of their corruption. It's kind of the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me, but that's Washington for you.
  7. Hey congrats! Nice work.
  8. I think the lesson here is to quit using major appliances at 10pm. Seriously, sorry about your luck. That was us two years ago. The trifecta. Furnace, washing machine, transmission. I remember the pain.
  9. Good to hear Nate. I always have to remind myself that God continues to work. Sometimes we see him working, sometimes we don't see him. Sometimes he works in spite of us. Let me know if you need anything.
  10. That's pretty cool....Just hope you don't need it in a hurry....or lose a piece.

I was wondering that, too. Threaded barrel? I'm a little bit offended to find my N.A.A. Mini on that list as well. I've owned it for years, and it has yet to go off on it's own.

    New H&K MR762!!!

It's good looking. I'll sure give it that.
  13. D.M. Bullard made my leather ones. Ares Gear made my nylon one. None were especially cheap, but they weren't that expensive either. I'm certain that I'll have each of them until the day I die.
  14. That's an awesome piece of family history. Super cool!
  15. Wow. Even though I don't normally put any stock in WND, that's quite a story.
  16. Nice setup. Congrats.
  17. I appreciate the guys at the Outpost (or any other vendor on here for that matter) stepping up and laying out the cash to have inventory in stock that I can put my hands on before I buy it. If it's something that no one carries, sure I'll order it off the internet. Otherwise, I appreciate the ability to be able to put my hands on it and play with it. That's worth something of a premium to me. I'm not going to go to the Outpost or another store, check something out, and then order it from Buds. They are putting a lot of capital out there to have a store where I can go and touch something. If they are going to step up and do that, then I am going to try and buy from them when I can. If you think something is priced high, give them a chance to match what you've seen elsewhere. I would be willing to bet that Chris wouldn't knowingly lose a sale to Bud's or Academy or anywhere else. The Outpost has always dealt more than fairly with me, and I would recommend them to anyone. We are really fortunate, especially here in Middle Tennessee to have some great vendors with some great knowledge. The Outpost, Hero Gear and Guns for America are going to get my business whenever possible.
  18. I really like the Spyderco sharpener for about anything - neglected blades included. The primary difference for me is in having the whole system operational in under 30 seconds, as opposed to having to set up the Lansky system, clamp the blade, oil it up, clean it up, etc... The Lansky system will put a great edge on a blade, I just find myself using the Spyderco system a lot more regularly out of convenience.
  19. Congratulations!
  20. Nice. Have fun with it. I've sure been enjoying mine.
  21. For general everyday use, my go to system is a Spyderco Tri-angle sharpener. Have three sets of rods, and it can sharpen about anything I use to a razor fine edge. I far prefer these to the Lansky systems (which I also own a couple of versions of). That said, I've also got a set of old oil stones that I use when I want to ensure that the edge is just like I want it, at just the angle I want it.
  22. 16 miles in a day in the White Mountains is a huge day. Stay safe out there. Good luck.
  23. I found knifekits.com the other day when a friend recommended it. I don't know how I haven't run across it before. That site is going to end up costing me some money!
  24. Just picked up a Surefire LX2 Lumamax. Hands down the best LED light out there in my opinion. 15 Lumen low, 200 Lumen high, Surefire build quality. Awesome light. My daily carry is a Maratac AAA. 3 light levels, and only 20 grams without the battery. A great light for just a few bucks.
  25. Nice Hog. Congrats.
