  1. The OP has asked that this thread be closed. While I generally don't like to close threads like this one, it doesn't seen like anything particularly new is going to be said that hasn't already. If someone wants to debate the serving process, debt collection or anything else, start a thread in the general off-topic section. As most here have pointed out, it doesn't really matter how big of a fool someone makes out of themself on your front porch. If you're behind closed doors, so long as they stay outside you're likely going to be the one in trouble if you escalate the situation. When you strap on a weapon, you immediately either become an asset to society or a liability. Likewise, your actions represent all of us. While I'd like to think that one day that won't be the case, as it stands today if one permit holder/gun owner does something stupid, we all get painted with the brush that colors them.
  2. I went for reloading supplies, and was not disappointed. David is always great to deal with. The three others I went with all left with something. Not the greatest show, but one of the better recent Goodman shows I've been to.
  3. A bunch of vendors, our own David included are refunding parking when you spend $50. If you're just going to look and don't mind a short walk, feel free to park at our church up the street. Acklen Avenue Church of Christ. 900 Acklen Ave. Parking lot is on the Wedgewood side.
  4. I'll go ahead and throw out that the candidate who owns and shoots a suppressed carbine on a regular basis at least has my attention:
  5. Hmm. It sure seems closer. Offer stands.
  6. If anyone wants to walk about half a mile, you cam feel free to park at our church. Acklen Avenue Church of Christ. 900 Acklen Avenue. Parking lot is off Wedgewood.
  7. Yep, I'm going to get some supplies from David, too. I'll probably go early.
  8. Yeah, me too...in limited doses. I get it, I guess. If I was in debt up to my eyeballs and you gave me some steps to get out of it, I'm probably going to keep listening to what you say. It doesn't matter that his steps should be obvious to the casual observer and you should have learned them in elementary school. He keeps it simple and people can follow him. I'd let him head up a "deficit reduction" committee in Congress in a heartbeat.
  9. Now that's funny! My cult alarm was ringing earlier and I jumped the gun. I've been in a call center when he endorses a product on his show. It's unreal to watch the phones light up. I really respect the guy, and love the fact that he views it as a mission. That said, I'm not drinking any kool-aid at a live event. Rick Perry is a conservative's conservative. I wouldn't make too much of him being from Texas. The Bush family has campaigned pretty hard against him in the past. That may be because they viewed him as a future Jeb contender. I do like his 10th amendment views!
  10. Nice work! That makes my whole afternoon.
  11. Edit...wrong ramsey
  12. Me too. Looks like I'm traveling this season. Anybody got any suggestions?
  13. What a great story!
  14. Kids do stupid stuff. Making stupid decisions is part of growing up, and I might argue it's nececssary for learning. I expect everyone here has made their share. It's unfortunate that some stupid decisions have such consequences. As the father of two daughters, I can tell you that there is no stupid decision my kid can make that will make me stop loving them. And while you do have to worry about a lot more stuff when raising girls, it's worth it. No one will ever love their dad quite like their daughter. That said, Lord help those guys if that were either of my daughters.
  15. Has the state extended the contract with the group that was attempting helicopter eradication flights that at $10,000/flight that they were doing earlier this year?
  16. Once you shoot the M4, you'll realize that you have everything you need in a shotgun.
  17. Per then commandant of the Marine Corps, General Robert Barrow to Ronald Reagan in 1981 when the modern tradition of Presidents returning salutes started, the POTUS as CINC is entitled to offer a salute to anyone he wishes. While I may disagree with the President on most issues, I have no doubt he was sincere here. I imagine combat deaths are responsible for any President's graying hair. Besides, his salute is a lot better than Bill Clinton's was.
  18. SNL couldn't have done it better.
  19. I thought Bret Stephens was dead on yesterday. I've got a friend who agrees that he seems straight out of academia.
  20. Now you're talking!
  21. Nah, that thing is sexy any way you look at it. When we finally get you over to the NFA dark side, you're just a barrel swap away from stone cold awesome!
  22. I put a Noveske PIG while I wait for the suppressor. If 300gr rounds are somehow lacking in "bite", the pig sure makes up for it in "bark".
  23. I need to get the can on my Spectre!
  24. Yeah, I'm sitting on a stack of them at this point. I got a deal on the translucent ones a while back. Those big rounds look pretty ominous in there!
