  1. That looks a lot like simple wear from being in contact with your clothes/body from being carried as opposed to coming off from a bump or something. I'm right handed and have a couple with similar wear patterns. I haven't worried much about it.
  2. Really? Just a friendly suggestion to help you have a better experience here. But, seriously. Lighten up. Feel free to disagree, but don't be insulting to other members.
  3. Feel free to disagree, and we certainly encourage intelligent discourse. But, lighten up.
  4. The streamlight micro stream is one of the best EDC lights made in the $25 or less category. Beyond that I'm a pure Surefire man. In my mind there's just no comparison.

    M60 or LCR

Not a thing at all wrong with the Model 60. For concealed carry, the only significant benefit of the LCR is the non-exposed hammer. But, hundreds of thousands of people have carried the Model 60 with confidence.
  6. Even with m193, you need to be careful using steel. Make sure you're using a quality target at an appropriate distance. There's a big difference between an AR500 rated target and a plate of mild steel.
  7. M855 rounds have tungsten penetrator tips in them. If you shoot them at steel, it's going to put holes in your target. The marks for pulling them won't affect your accuracy at the ranges you're likely to be shooting. I've shot pulled 168GR .308s out to 600 yards with accuracy at least as good as factory new.
  8. That thing just screams "pistol whip".
  9. That's a shame. I might not care to frequent the place, but I hate to see anyone have to go through that.
  10. I've did a 10/22 last winter to have a dedicated 1:9 platform for Aguila SSSs. Didn't take more than a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. It's actually amazing to compare the difference between the factory cast receiver and this billet one.
  11. 1977 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. Great old truck. Fold down jump seats and kick vents are highly underrated.
  12. I think Mitt Romney has about as much chance of beating Obama as he does of being elected the next pope. I don't like him. That said, I don't think his campaign has much chance at a national level when his staff can't even come up with an appropriate strategy to get enough news out there that even on the morning after three primary wins, 6 out of 10 of the top sites in Google when you query his last name are related to sodomy and beastiality.
  13. $1799 for a MacBook Pro and $99/year for a developer account. A lot of good free resources online to help you learn. Design that cool app you wish you had on your phone. That leaves you $3000 for education, training or whatever. If it's me and my business, and we've got surplus money - it's going to training and furthering our expertise. It always pays off. That said, I just spent three days pressure washing my deck. It's hard work that I bet a lot of people would pay good money to have someone else do for them.
  14. Nice! I bet that was a lot of fun.
  15. Great looking belt. I've got a couple of his pocket holster for a micro eagle, and they are both top notch work. Robert is great to work with.
  16. Bass Pro generally has them in stock. I've got one you're welcome to borrow for a while if you want to try one first. I've not used mine since I got a Tri-Angle Sharpmaker a couple of years ago.
  17. Yours too?

    Body Armor

Mind you, I use my armor professionally on a fairly consistent basis, but wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again for personal use. I see it as a sort of insurance. I can wear my Level III armor under a fitted dress shirt, and the causal observer can't tell that I have it on. I wear mine to the range on a regular basis. We've all seen stupid people at the range. I don't see any reason to die because some fool NDs a round across the range. Worn inside a carrier, if something goes bump in the night, I can have it on in less than 3 seconds, and have a totally integrated system at my disposal. I have my weapon, light, extra mags (pistol and carbine) and a blow out kit all at the ready. It's pretty dang convenient, and changes the odds a bit. I wouldn't want to take a round in the vest, but I'd much rather catch one in the vest than take one exposed. I've got a family to take care of. I see a vest just the same as I do a weapon. It changes the dynamic of a bad situation more to my favor. If you're really concerned with personal defense, armor needs to be considered as a concentric layer of defense.
  19. The top breaks were a limited run that I don't expect to see any more of anytime soon. They're commanding a pretty high price on the secondary market. I run with a 1 5/8 mini in .22WMR. It's a great little piece of American engineering.
  20. With modern powders and primers your primary concern needs to be humidity control. They can both stand a wide range of temperatures over a long period of time so long as you appropriately control the moisture. I'd skip the refrigerator and invest in some good rechargable dessicants.
  21. Am I the only one that it worries that they could easily use that same tech to drop a 500 pound JDAM on you at the drop of a hat? Glad you got your phone back, though.
  22. I've got an all Kidd gun built on an 80% receiver that I did a year or so ago. My experience with Tony has been great. His triggers are worth every penny.
  23. We took these to a church potluck tonight. Pretty good stuff.
  24. It's likely someone we've banned recently trying to cause some trouble.
  25. Almost certainly one of our recently banned users out to create trouble.
