  1. We didn't ask them to do anything but their normal transfer. If they want to offer anything on their own they're more than welcome to post it. We actually had a hard time getting FFLs on board. The three we've got jumped at the chance. We had several others offer, but I wasn't comfortable sending our members to an FFL out of someone's house who has zero post history here.
  2. They'll have to check it out. I've sent it on to them, but it may realistically be Monday. Thanks for being patient.
  3. So you were logged in? I've got a list of 5 people who didn't get their accounts switched, but yours isn't among them.
  4. You're on the list we provided to CMT, assuming you registered with the same email you gave me. We'll have to check into it.
  5. So long as your contact info is good with CMT, you should be good to go with our three major FFLs.  If you're shipping to another FFL of your choice, then you'll need to have them fax or email a copy of their FFL to CMT before the lower can be shipped.
  6. As long as we're talking rivers through National Parks, I love Big South Fork, too.  Going from Leatherwood Ford past Station Camp to Blue Heron may be one of the prettiest river trips in the Southeast.  As long as they've got water, that's 26 miles of easy paddling and totally under pressured fishing.
  7. Glad it's a good experience for y'all.   All the credit goes to Jeff and the guys at CMT.  They've really gone above and beyond what any rational person would expect to pull this off and to have these lowers manufactured in Tennessee!
  8. I was up at Mammoth Cave a couple weekends ago floating the Green River from Dennison Ferry out to Houchins Ferry.      I can say that it was 19.5 mile of our national heritage that I truly enjoyed!
  9. YNAB can access the same account from multiple devices with the record stored in the cloud.
  10. That's a crack.  Frankly, I'd call it a design flaw.  There's sure not a lot of material attaching that grip - especially for something as hard recoiling as a 12 gauge.
  11. And their vote counts just the same as yours...
  12. That's fair.  Good luck with your search.
  13. These are in about the condition I'd expect of a 60's era gun:   http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=369270680   http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=368847036   http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=369639121   http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=369817731   I'm sure you can spend a lot more on one in really good condition.  Seems like most that I see are shooters in similar condition to this, though.
  14. Hogs have a pretty severe allergy to the .458, too.
  15. Gotcha.  I'm still on the fence.  Maybe if I could find a Bauer .25 in the sub-$100 range instead of the $200ish range they seem to be priced at.  By the time I spent $200, I'd be rationalizing another $100 for a 1960's produced Baby Browning and carry it with pride.
  16. Collections are funny things, but wasn't the Bauer a stainless, but otherwise exact copy of the Baby Browning?  I think I'd go for the original.
  17. CMT will be converting people to the TGO group this week.  Once that's done, they'll add stock, and you'll have to opportunity to complete your order by adding stuff to your cart and paying for it.   From there, it'll get made and hopefully ship in time for the holidays!   Everyone will be getting a PM once the conversion is done and ordering is ready.
  18. I'm pretty sure that should someone try this out, it would result in free healthcare - as well as meals, lodging and a cute jumpsuit.
  19. Easy solution. Just carry them both.
  20. Kimber had a rough couple of years a few years back - and that was mostly due to the extractor issue that was mentioned above and sub-par magazines.  That said, they deserve some credit for stepping into the 1911 space when they did.  A lot of the folks making 1911s today probably wouldn't be here had it not been for the tide of Kimber's marketing dollars floating all of their boats - so to speak.   I've owned a couple of Kimbers, including a  Warrior that is my daily workhorse.  I've put thousands upon thousands of rounds through it, and it has never let me down.  I vowed that I would shoot the finish off of the gun, and even that has held up better than I would have expected.   I really only use Wilson 47D magazines, and would frankly replace just about anybody's factory magazines with ones that I know are reliable.   I prefer a sight that will let me rack a slide one handed off my belt if need be.  I've had better luck with the meprolights on the Kimber than on the low profile sights on the Sigs I've shot.  Any sight can be changed to your preference, though.   I'd have no hesitation buying a TLE II - especially the railed variant which I prefer since I run a light.  But, Sig makes some nice variants, too.  I really like the grippiness of the grip panels they're running on the Extreme.
  21. Used to be made in the USA.  Most of their lower tier scopes are made offshore now days.  Much to our chagrin...
  22. No private company can compete with an entity that is willing to lose money quarter after quarter. If your end goal is a single payer system, the ACA is a brilliant opening move.
  23. I'll let them know.
  24. Closing this one down. We'll start PM'ing pricing this afternoon. If you want to do something in the meantime, you can go register for an account over on CMT's site. Once we get everyone registered, we'll switch everyone to a TGO group from which you'll be able to pay for and fulfill your order for your choice of lowers, uppers and BCGs.
  25. I'm a pretty harsh judge of a burger, but Burger Republic has a pretty good one.
