  1. Fools like this really force an owner's hands. I eat in Chipotle a couple of times a week. At noon, the line in my local Chipotle in Brentwood is generally 30 people deep. I would be willing to bet good money that if Jabba the Hut and his fashionable friend walked in every day at the same time, their lunch sales would be down 30% in a week. Heck, I run a gun forum and I'd consider heading for the door if these two walked in. How are they going to sit and eat with those rifles hanging without muzzle sweeping someone at some point? Duck boots over there may just ND when he trips over his laces. It's ridiculous. They're all but forcing the owner to post to save his revenue stream.
  2. I got so tired of playing their game.   My bill would continually creep up towards $200, and I'd call and get whatever "promotion" they were offering just to watch it continue to creep up month after month.   We finally decided to quit playing.  We kept our internet connection, but tossed the cable package.  We've got Netflix and Amazon Prime, and really haven't missed much.  We might get an over-the-air antenna at some point, but really aren't in much of a hurry.   Maybe if enough people get off of their merry-go-round it'll prompt some change.  On the other hand, with AT&T trying to buy DirectTV and Comcast buying Time Warner Cable, we seem quite content in letting them skip towards monopoly status.
  3. PM me when you get settled in and you can play with mine for a few days. That'll either cement you wanting one or totally cure you of the desire.
  4. I'm going to have to give a safety razor a whirl.  Though, if I'm being honest, while I HATE the cost of refills on my multi-bladed Gillette Fusion - I can run one for at least a month.  I shave every morning, and I would wager that I've not changed a blade with less than 6 weeks on it in years.  Maybe I have tough skin or a soft beard (I don't think either of these are true), but it takes me a good while to feel the need to change a blade.   I don't know what I'd do if I felt like I had to change a Gillette blade every few shaves.  I've never had suicidal thoughts, but thinking about the cost of that might push me towards the edge.   I guess at the end of the day I'm just cheap.
  5. The P99AS, to this day has one of my favorite triggers in a handgun.  The PPQ improves it, and the ergonomics are even better.   If I weren't so invested in the P99, I'd pick one of these up in a heartbeat.
  6. Oh man.  Wow.  Y'all are in our prayers!  Please let us know if there's any way we can help with that burden.
  7. Bermuda is great!    But, they let the passenger drive and tourists are limited to mopeds.
  8. If I could get on a plane right now and go to the beach - this is where it would be:  http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1098   Fly into St. Thomas.  Take a ferry from the airport to St. John.  2/3 of the island is a national park.  Not a ton of touristy stuff to do, but it's a lot of great exploring, diving, good food and lounging on the beach.   Hawaii is cool.  But Honolulu is really a drag.  It's a long flight and really expensive. Waikiki beach is less than 10 feet wide in a lot of places.  And, it's covered up with people.  If you go to Hawaii - bypass Oahu and go for one of the other islands.  You won't regret it a bit.
  9. All in all, though - while it's probably neat to go to Hawaii once, it's just not worth it to me.   I'd take the Caribbean any day of the week.  It's more cost effective, about 6.5 hours closer via plane, and there are a lot fewer people.   St. John takes the cake in my book.
  10. I like the Big Island.  It's far better than the urban train wreck that is Honolulu.  Pearl Harbor is terribly sobering, but the rest of Honolulu just isn't worth it to me.    My wife and I stayed in the Hilton Waikoloa Village a couple of years ago, and I'd definitely recommend it.  I've stayed all over Waikiki Beach.  When I'm there, I like the Moana Surfrider.
  11. Is this a trick question? ;)
  12. Excell Enterprises Inc. is listed as a type 07 FFL that appears to be out of someone's house.  The owner appears to compete in fast draw contests around the area.
  13. Paul, I've got nothing to offer, but I'm thinking about you.  You've had a bunch on your plate for a while.
  14. Knifekits.com has the best quality kydex tools I've seen at pretty reasonable prices.  You can get by with a lot less if you're careful.
  15. I like that.  Your handles turned out really well.

    Non-NFA SBR?

I was just wondering if someone made a longer pistol tube for use with the brace.  Turns out they do.  This one by KAK industries is 1.5" longer than a regular pistol tube:   http://www.kakindustry.com/ar-15-parts/lower-parts/buffer-tubes-and-parts/pistol-buffer-tubes/sig-super-sb15-pistol-buffer-tube-kit-plain
  17. When David left, so did I.
  18. As I sit here trying to come up with reasons to keep this thread open, I'm coming up blank.   I'm just going to shut this one down.
  19. I see a burger republic trip in the near future!
  20. Here are a couple of nicely formatted templates that I saw discussed earlier this week:   https://github.com/deedydas/Deedy-Resume   http://www.latextemplates.com/template/moderncv-cv-and-cover-letter   As a bonus, they're both LaTeX documents.  If you can consume that, finding a job should be a relatively straightforward endeavor.
  21. This is really probably a pretty safe rig - at least as far as these things go.  It's essentially an upgraded vehicle option to a powered wing.  Stability wise, you should be in pretty good shape.   So, so long as you have an appropriate environment in which to pilot the vehicle, and so long as you don't do something stupid like try and drive it off a cliff before deploying the wing your chances of dying are probably low.   The real danger with this class of experimental aircraft right now is that you're prohibited from carrying passengers.  The real effect of that ruling is that the learning curve is pretty steep because of the issues that creates with instructors being in the same vehicle as students.
  22. Sign me up.  You've got to die of something.
  23. What rail did you go with, Mark?  The KAC?
