Hey congrats! Who would have thought on Monday that you'd be finishing this week in a lot better position than you started?

Congrats on making some progress through the mess. We cannot choose where we start in life, but it sounds like you're doing an admirable job of making a good life for your family. Let us know if we can help. Seems like there's someone on here who's connected just about anywhere.

The question I would have is whether management knew of any of the other sales as a part of their investigation where the person was not fired today as a result. Consistency matters in Human Resources - especially when it comes to terminations. If it turns out they were selective, I might be inclined to discuss it with counsel.

Trump would raise visa fees to pay for Mexican border wall
MacGyver replied to Ron_TN's topic in General Chat
And people think fences are expensive... Empire probably makes fencing look cheap ;) Texas has been talking about a fence for years - only they're talking about putting it on the northern border. -

And, it might be worth discussing whether or not a fence or a wall represents an actual tool or if instead it's a political prop. In some cases these folks are traveling dozens of miles across inhospitable terrain. Do we really believe a couple of strands of wire - or even a larger fence will actually turn folks around? -

I'm sure you could string some barbed wire up. I'm just suggesting that this proposal should likely be viewed from a pandering perspective as opposed to an actual policy persoective. -

There are 1954 miles of border with Mexico. We issued 61,520 visas to Mexicans last year. Simple math will illustrate the problem with this proposal. -
Congrats!

Are you at the Ag Center?

So when you post that up for sale in a couple of years, I'm guessing it's going to be listed with the number of rounds Rob gave you minus one? :)

Walmart Getting Out Of AR and Pistol Accessories
MacGyver replied to Moped's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Walmart sells what America wants to buy. Black rifles are the most popular rifle in America. I don't see them going anywhere. -
I'd love to get some of us middle Tennessee guys together for some fishing one day. As a general rule my enthusiasm far exceeds my expertise. That said it would be fun to get a bunch of us out.

Nice! I've really been wanting to try a Tenkara setup.

Revolution Safes at NRA Convention...did anyone get a look?

Plywood of an appropriate thickness would. Think about all the junk in your cabinets. -

It's a great idea, even if it doesn't necessarily maximize the space available in a safe. That said, I don't see anything spectacular about the safe itself. Their angle seems to be marketing the rotating rack. I bet with a lazy susan base from Lowe's, a jigsaw and a sheet pieces of 1/2 plywood, you could make something similar and save yourself a couple thousand dollars. -
Man, I was hoping this thread was one of our old members coming back around. There are some voices that I really miss these days...

I'm posting via Safari on Yosemite with no issues. It almost sounds like a connectivity issue.

If you can fly out of Midway instead of O'hare, Southwest is usually pretty cheap into Nashville. Plus Midway has Potbelly Sandwiches.

LawEnforcementSalesTN would be my choice, too.

Suppressed Glock 21 cycling issue (Gen 3)
MacGyver replied to WarPig's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
My Gen4 19 runs a TiRant just fine. I've been thinking about an RMR. I can imagine the sight weighs much more than the regular sights plus the slide material removed combined. -
To his credit, even in a time where none of us even knew what a helmet was - much less owned one - the kid did put on an old Army issued M1 helmet that somebody had for his inaugural trip down the hill. The funny part of this story was that someone played a joke on him and put a pair of underwear around the headliner on the inside. So, after the wreck he was left lying in a neighbors yard bleeding and hurt. The helmet had of course gone flying in the crash, but he was left with a pair of underwear on his head. So, all us kids came running up to see how bad he was hurt, only to find him lying semi-conscious with a pair of underwear on his head. I haven't thought about that in years. People are looking at me like I'm nuts as a sit here laughing as I type it.

Can you imagine the lawsuits you'd suffer today by even so much as designing something like that. They'd be sued out of existence. I've got to imagine they use this thing as a case study in law school.

We had one of these in our basement as a kid. To my knowledge, it's probably still there. How you can have a 'Most Dangerous Toys" list without including this thing, I have no idea. That's a Flexy Racer. A sled on wheels - with bearings and all. As close as I can tell, it killed just about every other kid who ever so much as touched it. My sister and I were under strict orders that if we got on that thing and it didn't kill us, our mother would certainly finish the job. I only ever saw one kid ride it. When I was 6 or 7 an older kid in the neighborhood got on it and proceeded down the hill on our street. He was likely going about 40 when he suffered a rollover crash on the curb - and that was actually a far sight better than the 64 Buick he would have hit otherwise. It returned to the wall of our basement only to be spoken about in whispers by the children of the neighborhood after that.

Speaking as a forensic specialist, it would be hard to change that telemetry data in a way that would both stand up to both the laws of physics and good forensic science. Even if you could pull off changing the telemetry data, it would be extraordinarily difficult to do so without an actual forensic scientist being able to tell that it had been changed. Especially since there are multiple methods by which to corroborate that change.
