  1. Thanks, Pete.  It's definitely favorable to have all of this stuff in one place.  Please keep it moderately appropriate as fits a family-friendly forum.   If only we could do the same with politics we might have a gun forum again ;)
  2. I've shot jillions of 168gr .308 pulls over the years - some at 600 meters. They work just as well as any other bullet I've shot. Dlm37015 usually has them in various weights.
  3. It would be underwhelming at best.
  4. I loved the magazine when I was a kid.  I don't know that I've seen one in 25 years.
  5. Wow...I'd love to see what he can do to a high dollar 1911... Seriously, that looks like my 4 year old put those rivets in..
  6.   That's the thing.   I've considered starting a thread titled, "I don't trust Facebook, so I'd like to turn TGO into one" and move a bunch of threads in there...   We've got joke threads.  We've got animal pictures to no end.  Here's funny stuff kids say.  A couple of recipe videos and we're there.
  7. I'm about to sign a bunch of y'all up for Facebook...
  8. The only problems I've ever had with primers have been Wolf branded ones.  Maybe a dozen failures to fire out of several thousand.  Most will go bang the second time.   I still use them every now and then.   Winchester primers are fine.
  9. Yeah, they didn't have my flavor. I did manage a box of my favorite .300 BLK hog round and a new St. Croix rod, though. I've got to stop going in there.
  10. I was in Cabela's in Ackworth, GA the other day. They had a bunch of it in the shelf.
  11. I remember the word's of my wife's doctor, "When you have a boy you only have to worry about one penis.  When you have a girl you have to worry about all of them."
  12. Cool!
  13. Check out the pocket sheaths over at knivesshipfree.com.  I know they've had some similar designs in the past.   I bet we've got a few folks on here who might be able to stand something like this up.
  14. If you've got a seam that isn't centered on a joist, you're going to squeak sooner or later - regardless of the length of the screws.
  15. I think the screen I see is different, but yeah, the original poster asking the question can choose the 'Mark Solved' button to select a best answer.  I think in newer releases they've changed it to a better named 'Mark Best Answer.'
  16. No loss of human life is to be celebrated. It was built by the Swiss, Germans and Italians - who no doubt profited handsomely.
  17. This has been tracking since last year when ISIS overtook Mosul - either killing the people maintaining the dam or causing them to flee.     Unlike a dam like say - the Hoover Dam which might last for hundreds of years if abandoned, the Mosul dam was built on a highly porous substrate that requires constantly pumping in tons of concrete to shore it up.  Add to the fact that ISIS looted most of the machinery from the dam, the sluice gates are stuck and the water is rising in Spring melts, and they say it could actually break at anytime.   http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/mar/02/mosul-dam-engineers-warn-it-could-fail-at-any-time-killing-1m-people   Scary stuff with no easy answers.
  18. Grass is something I always want to develop some expertise in, but never quite get around to getting up to par.   Couple that with my general laissez faire attitude towards yard maintenance, and you can imagine the state my lawn is in at any given time.
  19. I have a two rules when it comes to Harbor Freight.   One,  if I'm going to use it more than once, I won't buy it at Harbor Freight.   I've got a friend who is always buying impact sockets there - and then wondering why they're always exploding when he uses them.  I'm pretty sure they're just cheap sockets painted black.  He could have bought a nice set a couple of times over on all of them he's bought over the years.   Which brings me to my second rule - always wear eye protection when using that junk.
  20. I like it!
  21.   My thought exactly.  Man, I can't imagine the damage done to it's ears.
  22. Cool! You can bag an elk and grab a cup of coffee with Blake, too.
  23. The internetz is a mean, mean place.     My experience certainly isn't universal, but I've beat the snot out of several sets of TFOs for years and never had an issue.  I wouldn't hesitate to put them on another weapon.
