  1. Congratulations...Good Choice! Now get yourself a Storm Lake 9mm Conversion barrel and some Glock 19 magazines and you will have two guns in one!
  2. Urse

    7.62x39 vs 54

    Alright repeat after me ......VEPR.

    Rodent Problem...

    What about Panzer?
  4. x 54 R: http://www.dragunov.net/rifles.htm x 51 would have to be a M1A: http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?clicktype=rifles or a DSA FAL: http://www.dsarms.com/ x39 definately Vepr Good luck finding one..Gunbroker probably your best bet or Arsenal: http://www.arsenalinc.com/about.htm The Vepr is a 1.5 MOA Kalashnikov(I have personally done that). The Arsenal is the finest non custom-built readily available AK money can buy. That said, if I could only get one of these choices it would probably be the M1A and then the FAL. If another AWB happens the value of all of these already expensive choices will explode.

    are you ready?

Soooooo.....Power to the sheeple...Rock on! Towerclimber isn't it about time you changed your avatar?
  7. 442/642 thanks again Rabbi.....
  8. EoTech's are nice however they have shown malfunctions due to the heat transfer from the Ultimak. They also will not allow co-witnessing of the iron sights(both of the aforementioned sights will).
  9. I am all about High end Kalashnikovs and the Tantal in Rabbi's shop is easily one of the nicest fit and finish Century guns I have ever seen. It is a polish kit built on a DCI receiver. Might have to pay more attention to Polish AK's. As far as an optic goes if you go top dollar get a Aimpoint H-1 Micro Reddot or for a great deal the Burris Fast Fire is pretty nice. Sidetrack over.......5.45....hmmm
  10. What scares me Mars is that as soon as I read this I also thought Glock-phooey. Then I click on the next page icon and there is your post. And on the original topic: I have been the punching bag for several people over the years most notably in Shorin Ken Karate and Wing Tsun Kung Fu. Never formally trained in either but have spent several years being abused by those that have. If I can ever find a place to study Krav Maga(middle TN) then I will be all over it.
  11. +1......
  12. I was in East Side Gun Shop today arranging a transfer when Rabbi(Bill) asked my opinion on a particularly well built Century Tantal clone(very nice rifle by the way). For those that do not know the Tantal is a AK variant chambered for the Russian 5.45 x 39mm round. I have always been of the opinion that whatever the 5.45 can do the 5.56 can do better. However, after doing some research the ballistics, inherent accuracy potential as well as the availability of cost effective 5.45 ammunition make it a very viable option to the 5.56. Opinions?
  13. How about getting me a price on a Arsenal SLR-107CR I found the one I want here: http://www.rsrgroup.com/cgi-bin/cgirpcux/WTM-002O Do you have a S&W 442 in? If so I will see you tommorrow.
  14. You know there are some very intelligent, well-informed individuals that hang out here. That is why the redundancy of topics is suprising. I have not checked in here for probably 2 weeks and when I do there is nothing remotely new other than some fluff topics. So lame what a shame. I guess I will check back in a month or so. P.S..... By the way the H&K P7, Luger and Glock all have a very similiar grip angle. 110 degrees give or take a degree. The Glock generally will point high for Browning disciples. If you are shooting low that is because you are using to much finger on the trigger and/or your trigger technique sucks. Of course this is just my opinion...........Ta-Ta
  15. I am gonna start carrying a H&K P7 or maybe a Luger. Screw the Glock and that screwy grip angle.
  16. GE XM 214 Minigun
  17. I have a Vepr K 7.62 x 39 which has a barrel diameter of .611". Instead of removing the barrel and having it turned down to accomodate a 14/1 LH thread. I was wondering if I could use a FAL 9/16 x 24mm LH (.562") tool and thread it myself. And then just use a FAL muzzle device. Would this work? What say you?
  18. I hear it is actually anything Austrian. Evidently an Austrian named Sven stole his hooch maid back in the nam.
  19. Fred are you sure you went to the right anti-Glock thread? There are so many maybe you went to the wrong one.
  20. That sucks...I guess you don't get into the gun business to become rich huh?
  21. Actually Fred I have to concur with Mars(oddly enough) although he enjoys poking Glock owners I am not aware of any abuses of his Moderator privileges. We definately disagree about the value of the Glock but all of his arguments are logical. I have also spent less time here lately but all in all I do not feel TGO is all that much worse than any other gun forum. I have made the mistake of taking comments on this board personally and have come to the conclusion that it is a waste of time to take anything on the internet seriously. Go try and disagree with "someone" at warriortalk or getoffthex if you want to see an example of who's d... is bigger syndrome.
  22. So I was just "handling my gun" and decided to tell you all insult #40/1100! Rock Out with Your Glock Out!!!!
  23. Welcome
  24. All I have to say is I am not a racist I have lots of black friends;)
  25. I am a simple man Jenny but what in the h..l are you two talking about?
