Actually CMT manufactured parts for both STAG and S&W that is the commonality. That said I understand your dilema. Rabbi has slowly but surely been tempting me to get an Evil black 22 pop gun. I am probably gonna buy a couple stripped lowers as well. I also have handled a few of the M&P15T's and me likey! 1 in 8 would be my preference and M4 feedramps are a must.
  4. Just do it yourself. Here is a link were you can rent the tools and download detailed instructions. If you are even slightly handy and go slowly you should have no problem doing it yourself. http://www.dinzagarms.com/tools/tkr.html
  5. Now who says you can not shoot competition with the AK? As long as they stand still.........
  6. It sounds like limp wristing. However, I will be sending the extensions first of the week.

    Suggestions Please

I own a Kahr K9 and absolutely love it. They are extremely thin and that makes a huge difference in concealability. I have shot a PM9 and it was a cool little gun but unfortunately my friend had several issues with it and sent it back to KAHR twice. The CW series is slightly larger and has a pinned(not dovetailed) polymer front sight other than that I see no difference. They all have a wonderful long smooth DA trigger pull that is long enough and heavy enough to be lawyer safe. Yet also smooth enough to make you smile. There have been many reports of issues with the PM9 but I take these with a grain of salt because generally people complain faster than praise(especially on the internet). If you found a PM9 that proved reliable it may well be the second best "pocket" gun out there behind the J-Frame of course.
  8. It sounds like you primarily are looking for the extra grip area. I have 3 or 4 of the Pearce grip extension that just replace the factory baseplate and do not add any capacity. I never had a problem with them I just never liked them. PM me your address and I will mail them to you if you want them.
  9. Springfield has the best bang for the buck IMHO. There are plenty of deals out there you just need patience and persistence to find them. "Watch each card you play and play it slow. Wait until that deal come round"
  10. I do not agree with his politics I am just saying he is the most magnetic of the candidates. He wears the mantle of leadership rather easily. I just hope there aren't any racists out there with hatred enough to attempt an assasination. That could send this country into a SHTF situation of scary proportions.

  12. You know I had originally resigned myself to the fact that McCain(not one of my top 5 choices) had the best chance against Obama not Hillary. I like Huckabee but even if he sweeps the remaining contests McCain is still going to win. So I voted(early) for Obama thinking he would be the weaker candidate. But the more and more I listen to Obama I almost find myself wanting him to win. Now before anybody flames me for being an idiot I realize he is the most liberal of the remaining candidates. I do not agree with his politics. However, he is an extremely charismatic speaker and has a presence that is hard to deny. I was sitting at home watching his speech to the Viginia(home state) Democrats and was reminded of the feeling I had as a small kid in school listening to Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech. The rhythm is not dissimilar to that of a Black minister. It is very dynamic and builds to a crescendo that evokes emotional responses. I am now thinking that the only hope we have is Hillary. As of right now the Democrats are turning out voters at a 3 to 1 ratio. The anti-Clinton vibe is something we could use to polarize Republican and undecided Independent voters in the fall. It is possible that alot of the forward thinking liberals will not actually pull the lever for a black man(can you say New Hampshire) but that is not looking very likely. People seem to be energized by Obama and that is something the Republicans simply can not match with the oldest presidential candidate ever. If Obama avoids any Howard Deanish behavior he will be the Democratic nominee and he should win in a landslide. I will still vote for McCan't but it will not matter.
  13. 1. Eastside 2. Internet 3. Reloaders Bench (Not for guns but everything else)
  14. Ann Coulter prefers Hillary over McCain? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuTqgqhxVMc&feature=related[/ame]
  15. I bought a 442(same as 642 but blued) from Rabbi (www.eastsidegunshop.com) in November for 444.98 out the door. He had a 642 that he was offering at the same list price($398) but I like the blued version. Give him a call.
  16. ...?.... S&W J-Frame is probably the most all around ccw friendly and reliable gun ever. A 442 is my constant( toilet, mowing the lawn, late night run to the store) companion. It is like an old friend. And my GP-100 is my nightstand gun of choice amongst handguns.
