  1. Burris Fast Fire. Built like a tank. Does not allow a co-witness. http://www.opticsplanet.net/burris-fastfire-w-picatinny-mount-4-moa-dot-mat-fastfire-sight.html Burris Speed Dot. Looks like it would allow a co-witness. I have no experience with this optic but it looks well built and at $175 is well within your price range. http://www.opticsplanet.net/burris-1x-35mm-speeddot-135-sights.html Burris Tactical Speed Dot. This would be my choice. http://www.opticsplanet.net/burris-xts-135-1x-35mm-mat-xtreme-tactical-speeddot-sights.html

    Barrels 101 Questions

At 800 yards the .223 might have enough energy to puncture paper. It is definately the extreme outer limits of it's range. If you are wanting to reach out and touch anything past 600 yards you are talking .308 or larger caliber. With that said I would not rely on the .223 having sufficient stopping power past 300 yards(or closer for that matter) and if it did, I would consider it a lucky shot IMHO.
  3. Stones River is only open Friday,Saturday and Sunday.
  4. Everyone should be required to own a J-Frame. I carry a 442 everyday.
  5. If you bring a silhouette you have to fold the head under. I am an annual member($101.00) and they pretty much leave me alone. They get all levels of shooters and the more they recognize your face the less they supervise.
  6. Blah,Blah no need to get all Mr. Crankypants on everyone. Yes we know .....The Earth is round.
  7. You mean the XD in general?
  8. They are second place to the AK.
  9. That is how you guys roll in Memphis.

    New Shotty!

Rabbi has one in stock. $499 I believe.
  11. Two things: 1) They are called magazines Bill! Get your head out of the Ghetto! 2) Do I even have to point out the fact that you can dig an AK magazine out of the mud load em up with lacquer coated steel cased dirty comblock ammo and load it into a crappy Kalashnacopy(Like that Century you had in the shop) and proceed to reliably destroy anything within 300 yards without as much as a hiccup! Ahhhh...accept no substitute. Although I would take Kahrman's 45/70 lever carbine!
  12. I realize Hobson Pike has more rules but it sure is fun to shoot outside and farther than 25 yards. I am a annual member and they generally leave me alone. Some of the RSO's are overzealous with people they don't recognize but they mean well. Besides after about 30 minutes at OnTarget I start to get headaches from the GSR in the air.
  13. Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm in.
  14. Dixie I have a Kahr K9 and the best source of Kahr mags I have found is the Kahrarms wesite:http://www.kahr.com/PA-2B.html They are definately proud of their product. You may want to PM Kahrman he might know of more sources.
  15. That is definately a very close ballpark. Mine is about the same.
  16. + Colbert ...definately a comedy cocktail
  17. I guess you could let some other local gun shop get the free national publicity. Maybe Hero Gear? Gun City? Hmmm...I can see the front page of the Scene now...Music City's Rabbi of Ragnarok-n-Roll! Bill this could be absolutely hilarious. I will be by the shop tommorrow to try and talk you into it.

    Do Glocks Suck or Not

+1 Good Post. I own and carry Glock handguns(among others) but I would also carry a Sig, H&K or if I could afford it a Wilson Combat 1911. Truth be told the gun I actually carry all the time is a S&W 442 J-Frame. I own Glocks and AK's that does not mean I can't have or want AR's and 1911's. The Glock works well for me but it is not for everybody.
  21. God...I hate you guys...
  22. Seems like these guys woul know something about it. And, they are in your neck of the woods:http://www.inrangec2.com/ Couldn't hurt to check em out. Try here:http://www.akforum.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=f8359f5707c607db5446554cc31d2b12 Whole lotta info there.
