  1. Just googled around. It was the original .22 cartridge and was still used in Olympic shooting prior to the air rifle due to its accuracy. It seems for me, there is no use but single shot feeding in my Taurus. I would give them to anyone close who has a gun chambered for them.
  2. I discovered that one of my older boxes of .22 ammo is .22 shorts. The fire out of my Taurus PT-22 but don't have enoough oomph to cycle the slide. Are the good for anything other than a revolver, bolt or single shot gun? Is there anything specifically chambered for this round?
  3. The biggest rattler I ever saw was a Ruber P85. I was afraid the slide would fall off. The LCR doesn't rattle anything like that.

    Ruger LCR

Oops, I misread the thread title. I have the LCP. I have handled a couple of LCRs and have recommended it to a friend who is a judicial commissioner. I wouldn't mind one for myself. I just wonder if it kicks as hard as the LCP. Let me know next time you are in town and we can go shooting!

Bring some ammo my way and I'll let you shoot mine.
  6. Just called The Outpost... they have 50 round FMJ for $30. I have a buddy in GA who picked up three 150 round boxes for $20 each a month ago. Considering that, I have problems paying $10 more for 1/3 the product.
  7. The mom of one of my h.s. seniors is the JD event coordinator. If you'd like to set up a TGO tour, I might be able to talk her into including a private tasting with one of the master tasters. Maybe we could have a TGO picnic up on the hill sometime.
  8. I had a .40 casing go down my shirt last week... not fun.
  9. I'm not seeing where either site has anything about proper posting.
  10. Ok, I put about 250 rounds of .380 downrange this week. It kinda feels extravagant considering the lack of replacement ammo. I'm down to 300 rounds of FMJ.
  11. That was it. Thanks! The Browning BDA is not a standard, so may need a custom one done.
  12. Ok, please be gentle ... I've only been out shooting three times in the past couple of weeks after living in gun-hating Yankee territory for 10 years.
  13. I ran across another TN-based holster company on here, but didn't bookmark it and can't find the post. What other TN holster companies are there?
  14. I'd want mine Big Orange!!! ... if I owned one. Good luck with this work. Maybe you could post a pic or two of what you've done so far .. or point us to a link where you've already posted some.
  15. Thanks! I picked up a box tonight. They still had a couple left.
  16. You got 5k rounds from gunbroker? cool!
  17. I got an Italian 92F back in 89... LOVED that gun, but sold it for cash in a weak moment. One of my top 20 biggest mistakes ever!
  18. Here's the Taurus PT-22 up against a LCP. Note the .22 is slightly larger. BTW, my Taurus has never misfired or misfed on me. It has the same tip-up barrel design as the Beretta.
  19. Hi. I lived in Antioch back in 89-90 while shooting video for the TN Army National Guard. BTW, the second shooter I left behind in WI studied art photography at one of those fancy art schools in NYC. She helped my photojournalistic eye look at things a bit differently. It was fun seeing the difference in what the two of us shot at a wedding.
  20. emails sent to Rep Matheny & Sen Stewart
  21. Can anyone tell me where this range is? I've tried google and searching within this forum, but can't find the location.
  22. It would be a waste of legislation to try and outlaw stupidity. It's already illegal to impersonate a police officer. You can't outlaw toy or novelty badges... that would prob hit 1st Amendment square on.
  23. I've seen a badge for "News Photographer" .. and some information security people I've worked with in the past got custom badges just as a joke. Here's where you can design your own badge... Design Your Badge - Intro I threw this one together quick. However if you got one of these for real, I'd recommend a red bulls-eye for the center.
  24. Nice thread... here's a biggie of mine .. sorry, but you've gotta follow the link.. Ages
  25. Senator Corker today spoke to a lunch sponsored by the Tullahoma Chamber of Commerce. The crowd was very much cross-party, so no 2nd Amendment question was put out there. After, someone did ask him about gun rights and he said he didn't think there would be any real movement toward adding restrictions. Hopefully he has a good feel for this and isn't just being optimistic.
