I think this writing has been on the wall for a while.

Awesome. Congrats.

I’m trying. I’ve been buying plenty of guns and gear. I can’t do it all by myself though.

As a general rule, I do my best to avoid interaction with pendejos.

I like Texas, but they ain’t all they’re cracked up to be.

Stop the Bleed Knowing how to patch holes is as important (if not more so) than making them.

While I’ve still been purchasing ammo (at reasonable prices because I refuse to pay panic prices) I’ve also picked up a bunch of target stands, shot timer, a SIRT gun, dry fire mag, and some electronic targets because I’m going to get serious about my shooting. It’s past time to stop shooting and start training. I’m going to make the ammo I do use count for more than turning money into noise.

Breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth. I find neck gaiters to be the most comfortable face covering. I’ve got four different ones right now that I rotate through. It helps cut down on odors and what not from a dirty face covering. Always having the same one and not washing it is just bad hygiene.

I’m really not big on the masks as a general rule. I have serious doubts about their stated utility. That said, I’m loving taking advantage of not having my face on every security camera and available for every piece of facial recognition software used on those videos. I generally walk around with my face and head covered up like I’m about to rob a bank. It’s kind of fun. Edited to add: See? Told ya I look ready to rob a bank.

Never Thought I'd Do it!

They have several different levels of coverage. I went with the premium option as the odds are if I have to make use of the service, it will be in a state other than TN. Some of those states could end up being very, very expensive as they are non-permissive environments. I also purchased coverage for my wife at a very discounted rate by bundling it with mine. -
Never Thought I'd Do it!

I went back and forth on it for a while. After the events of the last couple months, and the fact that I travel all 48 CONUS states, I decided that it would be a wise idea to get some carry insurance. Ultimately I decided to go with USCCA. -
I’ve found this to be the case in my travels as well.

Will do.

He’s a good time.

What the hell? This is why. https://www.housingwire.com/articles/spike-in-lumber-prices-boosts-construction-costs/ This is obnoxious as I’m needing some lumber for target stands. Crap.

Looks like I need to go to Miami. I’ve been wanting one of those tickets from somewhere, anywhere. This far I’ve not managed to get one. It’s disappointing.

I always love these threads. You have someone from out of state asking about shooting on their own property outside the city limits (usually from a commie state). They are invariably met with confusion as everyone from here is basically like “why couldn’t you? It’s your property.”

Barring that, invite the deputy when he shows up.

Finally got to my mailbox to pick mine up. The knife is light, and very handy. The sheath is crap, but era correct. I’m quite happy with it. I’m probably gonna have a kydex sheath made for it that’ll mate up to my plate carrier.

Welcome! If the land you are looking at is in an unincorporated area outside of the city limits, the Rogersville PD will be of no assistance because it’s not their jurisdiction. As far as the county goes, you may contact the Sheriff’s office to see if there are any county ordinances prohibiting shooting on private land. That said, I don’t know of any county in the state that has that prohibition. As a general rule of thumb though, as long as you are shooting in a safe manner not near or at any structures you don’t own (your neighbor’s house) you are good to go.

When I was working at a gun shop in Memphis we had a used one of those fancy guns come in with “Sinaloa” etched in the grips and filled in with a gold color.

I’ve got one 6.5CM bolt gun (Bergara B-14 HMR) and I adore it. I’ve shot a 6.5CM AR before and it was really nice as well. The cartridge performs in either platform so I think that’s a matter of personal preference. If you have the builder’s itch, go AR. If you decide on a bolt gun, take a look at the Bergara, it’s a magnificent rifle and I think you’ll love it every bit as much as me and all my friends that have them.

6.5 Creedmoor would be the pill to pick in my opinion.
