  1. The murderer fired the first several shots at the ground or in the air. And they still were hurling insults at him. The woman pulled out her phone and said she had it on camera. This had been a long ongoing feud but the fact that the folks just really could not grasp that he was for real and their lives were in danger boggles the mind. The couple did not deserve to die like that, but the story is coming out from the neighbors say that they were not innocent players in all of this. You never know who you’re dealing with and you never know when that psycho switch is going to flip. You just can’t go around pushing people because sometimes you find that you end up dead. ETA: This all relates to some of the recent road rage discussions we’ve had.
  2. You should have followed the advice given to dial it back a bit. It was good advice. Come back in a couple days when hopefully you’ve heeded that advice.
  3. I’ve been expecting this headline for years. It’s unfortunate that a young man lost his life, but this is a YT genre that needs to die. Shame that someone else had to first.
  4. More than once when I’ve sold to strangers I took along someone to stand back at a distance.
  5. Yeah, those expenses get written off.
  6. I too have suspicions, but I will reserve them. The victim here was a 22yo kid. He very well could have been naive enough through youth and inexperience to place himself in such a bad situation. I know I ended up in a lot of sketch situations at that age. Time will tell what the truth really is here.
  7. I can usually get a couple hundred thousand miles per set of tires. That said, a set of tires runs me over $6k.
  8. Tire prices do fluctuate a bit with oil prices. I’ve seen it with the tire purchases I’ve made over the last several years for the semi. While not as fast as fuel prices, the impact is absolutely apparent when you buy tires like I do.
  9. That $35 was the transfer fee. $25 for the transfer, $10 for the TICS fee. The amount of the transfer fee is set entirely by the FFL.
  10. This seems like an appropriate time to repost this classic explanation from the Lawdog files on why there is no such thing as “compromise” with regards to gun rights. Never was, never will be. http://thelawdogfiles.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-repost.html And also in cartoon form for the crayon eaters.
  11. You’re starting to grasp the gravity of the situation I see.
  12. It’ll probably shoot just fine. Just need to remember to really clean out your rifles really well (I use a hose, not kidding) after you shoot it. I’ve got a whole bunch of German corrosive ammo that I use with no problems.
  13. Let’s ensure we keep things focused on the 2A and not get off track here. Thanks, y’all.
  14. My wife (and dog) use CBD products. I don’t. Even if I were so inclined, I can’t risk a failed DOT physical because somebody had a bad day in QC and THC ended up in a batch.
  15. The quality of the service varies wildly from store to store, and the substitutions sometimes make very little sense at all. If you have a good store, with good curbside that’s great. If not, I’ll ask my wife what personal shopping app she uses as she has had amazing luck with that.
  16. I’m half tempted to get a doughboy outfit and an ‘03 and go compete in a 3 gun match in the “heavy metal” division.
  17. Bayonet inbound.
  18. The proper approach to this question and others like it isn’t “what can I do?” It should always be “what must I do?” Whether in your home or elsewhere. So the question isn’t “can I shoot this person,” the question is “must I shoot this person to defend my life, or the lives of others from imminent harm.” If that’s your operating position, I think the odds of you actually being in a position to shoot anybody are pretty damn low, and facing legal trouble over the shoot well below that.
  19. In honor of my most recent acquisition.
