  1. Hell, even in states that are two party, officers are mostly excluded from that as government employees they have no expectation of privacy when in public in the performance of their jobs.
  2. I’d start reevaluating that thought process if I were you. If you’re talking about the 3 shot, 3 seconds, 3 yards bit, that’s an often repeated, but wholly incorrect piece of data that is far more myth than fact. The data used to build that stat comes from NYC officer involved shootings when revolvers were the standard issue sidearm. More recent data is that the number is around 8 rounds fired. Still, that doesn’t negate the need to carry a spare magazine to fix a malfunction were one to occur.
  3. This story is only weird due to the histrionic reporting involved. I hope dude manages to beat the charges because they’re BS.
  4. Should he have discretely stored the weapons in a secure manner, 100%. Was he dumb for leaving things how they were, 100%. I still have a hard time seeing where he should be charged with any crime at all. How many of y’all travel with equivalent set ups? I know I do. If I were to stay in a hotel, I’d bring them into the room with me and not leave them in a vehicle where they would be at a much higher risk of left.
  5. Here’s a link to the actual product. I prefer the paste. https://ekusa.com/product-category/cat-crap-products/
  6. Put some cat crap on it. It’s what I use on all my weapon optics and night vision glass.
  7. This isn’t new. All of the big 3 have done this. Modern engines often don’t make the noises American consumers want.
  8. Agreed. That’s why I’d feel bad for flagging them.
  9. He’s been zapped. Thanks to everyone that reported and messaged about him.
  10. I like the Holosun. Some folks find it busy, but I like the eotech style donut of death reticle. It’s solid, well built and only second to the trijicon with regards to ruggedness.
  11. There are many options out there and while some milsurp masks may be fine, my preference is new production. As a general rule I’m generally disinclined to trust my life to something that has been removed from inventory due to age. Most especially on a product that is made of a material that degrades. My recommendation is a new production mask from Mira Safety that uses standard 40mm NATO filters. The CM-7M (which I use due to being better for shooting) or the CM-6M both fit this bill.
  12. The Surefire is a big, beefy SOB, that’s for sure. But for what I was wanting to do, it was really the only truly good option.
  13. John (Old South Restorations) inside Cypress Creek Outdoors in Dyersburg. I’ve had him do a fair amount of work for me. When I feel that I must pay a professional, I pay him.
  14. Almost forgot, it got new G-10 grips as well.
  15. I do too. I also like night shooting. This is my Charles Daly HiPower that I purchased from a member here. I had it milled to accept a Holosun 507k and had him install the Dawson Precision rail that’s designed for the 1911 and Surefire X300V-A. Then cerakoted black. This gun is a total one off I’ve never seen any other one modded like this. I can’t wait to get it out under NODS.
  16. Did you send it in old school by paper?
  17. I’m in the “I’m just keeping my head down and hoping not to get noticed by anyone doing anything at all” crowd. That honestly doesn’t even have anything to do with guns. I’m completely terrible at it. Especially with my love of short shorts in RBS, but damn it, I can still dream
