Man, Portland is gonna Portland.

This subject was raised a few months back and I was educated and corrected by more knowledgeable members here on the law regarding it. You only need the correct form if you were going to transfer it In a title II status. Removing the stock and replacing it in a brace returns into a title I status and means that you can travel across state lines with it freely. An SBR is only treated as an SBR when it is configured as an SBR. Changing the configuration changes the way it is treated under the law.

I don’t expect any riots.

I’m really hoping that this red pills a lot of folks who didn’t pay a whole lot of attention while prosecutors pulled this kind of #### on folks from the other end of town because “they were probably guilty of something”. They can and will go after y’all just the same if’n they decide it’s what they want to do.

I spent the last 3 weeks watching/listening to a solid 3/4 of the proceedings via the Rekieta stream. It was an excellent and extremely illuminating insight into this case in specific and the legal system as a whole. For me the biggest takeaway is that if the prosecution was willing to go that far and engage in such blatant misconduct when the cameras were on, what are they getting away with when the cameras are off? It was really quite sickening.

Just another thing that’s factually incorrect. They were assailants. Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty on the grounds of self defense. That means he was defending himself from assailants and he was the victim of their violent assaults.
-
@DanielThe major news outlets have definitely been portraying a one sided and inaccurate narrative as to the facts of the case. That said, I do think that the fact that you are familiar with firearms and self defense concepts and laws allowed you to see the obvious in that he was legally justified in his actions. So while you may be able to see the facts, someone else of a particular worldview and without that same foundational grounding may only see the emotional narrative. Then maybe the folks here will only the misinformation and miss the fact based reports because of that. The exact same bull#### can dazzle different folks in different ways.

Folks are going on and on about Rittenhouse suing the media and such, or wanting him to talk to this person or go on that person’s podcast and I’m scared for the kid. His case was super important for all of us with regards to the subject of self defense and I am ecstatic that he won. But, my cause is mine. It was HIS LIFE and I just want that kid to disappear and go have a shot at a normal life. I’m afraid that he’s gonna get shoved into #### and turned into another Zimmerman. If that happens, the the ####bags who tried to destroy his life still win, but it’ll be folks on “our” side who give it to them.

Sorry, that’s the confluence of several threads of meme.

Some are more egregious than others.

Lon Horiuchi’s partner at Ruby Ridge. Defended the killing of Vicki Weaver and said he would have taken the shot. The owner and founder of Troy publicly defended Monroe when the story broke. They knew and endorsed the POS.

I see I’m not the only one who remembers.

This is the report supposedly sourced to a US Marshal there. I don’t know if it is accurate, or how the marshal learned it, but that is the reporting.
-
Eh, ever since I learned that they were the kind of company to hire and support murderous federal agents who were part of Ruby Ridge, they ceased to exist for me. That’s one company TN could have done without.

The timeline is just getting way too surreal at this point. Yes, they were really there. https://nypost.com/2021/11/16/mark-and-patricia-mccloskey-support-kyle-rittenhouse/

*Looks around leans in and whispers* Because someone way over there needs to be set on fire! In all seriousness, if I could get my hands on a real deal RPG ammo or 40mm HEDP rounds, you bet your ass I’d have them. Why? Why not!

I’m not going to weigh in too heavily on this particular matter at hand, but it’s generally a pretty safe bet to assume that anonymity doesn’t exist on the internet.

The weapons charge was dismissed as at no time during the trial did the state present any evidence to support this charge.

And expected quality control.

This is an important distinction. “Remanufactured” is not the same as a “reload”.
