Another bottleneck is we have limited refining capabilities. We do not even have enough refineries to process all of the oil we drill domestically if we were to keep it for domestic usage. There are multiple reasons for that. ultimately without extensive government intervention there is no visible light at the end of this tunnel. That’s not me advocating for it or against it, just simply stating that it’s not going to get better anytime soon.

I suspect that we may see makers seek to sell themselves to private equity.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/uvalde-police-school-district-longer-cooperating-texas-probe/story?id=85093405 Looks like the Uvalde and Uvalde ISD PDs just realized that TXDPS isn’t in the wagon circle with them and just might perform an actual investigation into things.

None of this makes any sense at all in relation to the laws in TN.

There is no argument on the face of this earth that can justify law enforcement standing by outside for 40 minutes to an hour+ while a monster murders children inside. As Krystal Ball (who I do not agree with on much at all) states in this segment (paraphrasing) “if the oath to protect and serve is for anything at all, is it not for this moment?” To those officers who stood by while children were being slaughtered inside, I will judge them as the cowards they are. They might as well be accessories to the atrocity inside. Anyone who wears a badge needs to have the knowledge that they are willing and capable of taking action in a situation like this. If they are not, then they are nothing more than a thief stealing from the taxpayers while being unwilling or unable to do the very basest level of what they have pledged to do for their community. I don’t know how I would react in that situation it is very true. What I do know is that if I stood by and let children be slaughtered like that, I would eat my own bullet before the week was out because I would know that I do not deserve to draw breath any longer.

I should have known. No way in hell am I wading through that morass of bull####. Reddit is full of the worst people on the internet. If it was up to me I’d ban links to it as a matter of general policy. I treat Reddit links like someone having pronouns in their bio. It’s just a giant neon sign that says “nothing of value is to be found in the words written here.”

Whatever you are attempting to link to, it ain’t working.

Then you are extremely fortunate if that’s actually the case. Many folks vastly overestimate how much mental health coverage they really have until they find the need to make use of it. Most health insurance provides very little to no coverage for mental health. My wife and I are dealing with this issue now as she is wanting to pursue therapy that has been long put off and is still holding off because of the expenses involved are very difficult to make work. (We have a heavy load of medical expenses related to two of our kids being in therapy for sensory processing issues.) Hell, I’m probably going to be selling a few guns to help defray those costs. That’s not a “woe is me” tale, but simply saying you’re being awfully glib about a subject that is a major concern and struggle for a lot of folks. You’re speaking from either a place of great privilege or ignorance or just maybe even a little of both.

https://youtu.be/BkeKak1T7nw I tried sharing the version with the English lyric subtitles above, but it won’t allow embedding of that one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I believe it was an old one.

I imagine they’ll find that suit a bit more difficult. The current owners of the the BM brand have nothing to do with that model’s production or advertising. They’ll be going after a defunct entity.

Another option is to yank the battery and have your buddy run you to the Autozone and have it tested/buy a new one. Then afterwards run back by to get your alternator checked. But I’m gonna guess it’s the battery, especially if you don’t remember the last time you got one or if it’s the OEM and you’ve had the vehicle more than a few years.

Just because someone isn’t stable, doesn’t mean that there isn’t something to be learned from the writings or words of those who commit heinous acts. Even if it is just to familiarize yourself with the dangerous rhetoric to be aware of it in others. I haven’t read the whole manifesto yet, but I’m working my way through it. That said, sometimes the unstable may act in ways that are wrong, but be essentially correct in their ideas. (Not say that’s the case here at all.) Ted Kaczynski is a prime example of that. I will not endorse his campaign of mail bombings in any way, but read “Industrial Society and it’s Future” and tell me that Kaczynski didn’t have it pegged correctly.

The gear section seems like a gun grabber wish list. It’s all the things they want to get rid of.
