What I find most notable in that collection is the high number of third parties acting on behalf of others. Some random person driving by, sees the robbery in process and then just mows them down with their car. That is indicative of a level of community and shared responsibility that I just don’t know is as present here.

Going to shut this one down as it’s gotten well deep into verboten territory. I do want to thank y’all for keeping it civil. Seriously. Thank y’all.

Exactly. Too many folks didn’t and don’t understand that. So many were clamoring for us to take action that would put us in direct physical conflict with Russian without fully grasping what that would mean. I don’t know about you, but getting involved in a direct conflict with another major nuclear and ultimately global thermonuclear war isn’t on the list of #### I’m remotely interested in.

Thoughts on buying "rental" guns from ranges (unknown round count)?

A lot cheaper that way too. -
As much as Biden is mostly checked out, he occasionally comes out of the dementia fog and exerts his will. When we got out of Afghanistan was one of those times. His steadfast opposition and hard line against direct action in Ukraine is another. He’s the reason why we didn’t enact a no-fly zone and the reason why things haven’t escalated beyond where they are currently. Harris doesn’t have the political instincts, will, principles, or even the basic intelligence to handle the role. As bad as things may be right now, Harris would be infinitely worse. Y'all all need to be praying for the President’s health.

We will be in a nuclear exchange with Russia in a fortnight if that happens.

I really love the look of those touring bikes.

Y’all all look up the work of Louis Rossman. He does a lot of good work in this area. Right to repair should already be on all of y’all’s radar if it isn’t already.

Do you want me to start ranting about how solar and wind are a scam again? Because this is how you do it.

Since I have a CDL, real ID is mostly a byproduct of what I already had to provide. The fact that I have a hazmat endorsement and a TWIC card means TSA Pre-Check was also another thrown in byproduct.

There’s not a word you type that I would disagree with. I am a proponent of moving toward EVs. That said, I do not in anyway think that the infrastructure is there to support a total changeover at this time. Rural areas will be using ICE vehicles for decades to come. I understand how long it took to electrify the rural areas of this country and I don’t believe that any other new infrastructure will take less time. Hell, just look at the thread we have regarding Internet access in certain areas, as well as the fact that providing POTS lines to the entirety of the country took up into the 70s or 80s. I just see a vast difference between looking at a technology that is obviously the future, being excited and hopeful for what it portends and writing it off as crap because it isn’t everything we want or need to be in this moment. So if somebody is at or nearing retirement age, and especially if they live in a rural area, an EV probably isn’t in their future. There’s a good chance it will be in their children’s or grandchildren’s, and their lives will be better for it.

So like many hot accessories, might be ok for certain competition guns, but not really beneficial for a carry gun.
-
@Erik88Yup. I see your point about opposition to EVs being based mostly on emotion than facts.

Charging of EVs like Teslas isn’t as straight forward as charging a simple rechargeable AA. The energy throughput from the charger to the vehicle varies throughout the process and is affected by things such as temperature and how charged the battery is. Since we are comparing it to ICE vehicles, think of it like this. When you are filling an empty tank, you can max out the flow from the nozzle initially. As you get to a fuller tank, you have to slow the flow to be able to top it off and get the tank completely full. While the reasons why the phenomenon is the same in EVs is different, the functional outcome is the same. As far as the availability of superchargers, the support infrastructure is growing alongside the demand. I’ve seen multiple stations out west where EVs are much more common that have as many charging stalls as a Buc-ees has pumps.
-
Your charging times are grossly outdated. For example, Tesla superchargers will charge a vehicle from 0 to 80% in 30 minutes, and to 100% in 90.

Not only that, but I just saw report that said he fired 10 shots and made multiple affective hits from a distance of 40 yards away. What an absolute Chad. I’m curious as to what gun he was carrying. Not because it matters that much in the grand scheme of things, but out of a personal desire for it to be something cheap. Being prepared to defend yourself and others is for poor people too. There is a lot of elitism in the gun community, and that’s just my personal axe to grind.

Elisjsha Dicken (the Good Samaritan and of the two people with a gun that day, the only one who’s name I care about) did not have a permit. He was legally carrying under the Indiana constitutional carry law that went into effect 16 days ago.

I’ve actually shared this around a bit as the market for an item like this is extremely specific. If it had been for sale 18-24months ago it would be in my collection. I’m sooooo jealous of whomever ends up getting Thai from you.

Rob is 1000% correct here. No the eff you don’t. The only things to be gained here are negatives. And even the things you think are positives are more terrible than you know.

Accurate.

Full hallway video from Uvalde has been released. If you choose to watch it, it will be infuriating to watch the incompetence and total inaction at play here This pretty much says everything I really could about it.
