  1. As long as he keeps raping UT and leaves Memphis State alone, he is ok in my book. (ok, not really. I actually think he is a big ole but i couldn't pass up the dig at UT)
  2. Just got a phone call back from the BATFE, they said to just send it down to 201 Attn: Mark Luttrel and that would be good. Apparently in my attempts to be 100% correct I was making it harder than it really was, meh. All in all though, you would think the Sheriff's office would have known what the hell I was talking about.
  3. I live in Memphis and am want to apply for an 03 FFL (C&R). I know one copy is submitted to the BATFE and another to the CLEO. In this case I chose Sheriff Lutrell as it seems to be the most straight forward option. Only problem is that I can't figure out where to submit the CLEO copy. The folks at the Sherrif's office are no damn help at all aas they seem to be clueless as to what the form even is. I am waiting on a return contact from the local BATFE office. Any Memphis folks on here have their C&R? Can you tell me where to send the CLEO copy so as to not delay this process any longer than I know it will be stretched out anyways? Thanks in advance for any info ya'll have for me.
  4. I am hard pressed to name a politician that hasn't been bought and paid for by some special interest group.
  5. I mentioned this in another thread, but Fed Ex are highly opposed to this and are lobbying against it. they have a lot of pull and will be a big hurdle, so make sure to let your legislators know your feelings on this bill. Mine are effing useless since I live in the city limits of Memphis and they are all a bunch of gun hating commies. At least we got some decent ones in some of the burbs. I don't get why Fed Ex has such a hangup with this, their parking lot is in a ROUGH part of town (I know, I used to live next to the airport) you would think they would have some concern for the safety of their employees, but apparently not.
  6. "Walk it off, builds character"
  7. That was my reading of it as well. If i make a suppressor and have it marked with something like "Made and for use in Tennessee Only" it would fall under this law.
  8. This is what I am curious about. I got a Mini 14 that is begging for a can.
  9. I was expecting something completely different...
  10. you should procrastinate a little longer....
  11. Having worked for them before, I would say that is entirely possible.
  12. Look for Fed Ex to be a problem here, They are already lobbying against it.
  13. Though it wasn't a career for me, serving in the USAF was the best thing I ever did for myself. When I joined I was 17, fresh out of HS and about as useless as **** on a boar. The USAF gave me a sense of self and knowledge of who I am and what I am capable of that has served me well ever since. The internal tools military service equips you with are of such value that I am of the opinion that it should be mandatory for all capable. On the subject of commitment, It will teach you HOW to commit yourself to a task, a cause and your ultimate calling in life. If you don't learn how to commit yourself, no matter what you choose to do in life, you will not succeed.
  14. First time I took my wife to the range, i didn't think to tell her not to wear a tank top...
  15. As a nation, we are all culpable for the actions of our government. If we we want to rise again to a position of true leadership and respect amongst the nations of the world we must act accordingly. Our actions at home and abroad must be above reproach and to be perfectly honest, it isn't as easy to keep things secret as it used to be, so the best policy is not to do it at all. Plus, our government considers it torture when an enemy nation waterboards our boys, So lets not be hypocrites. "We cannot defend freedom abroad by abandoning it at home." Edward R. Murrow
