  2. Somebody please tell me where to find those cheap used gun prices here, cause I sure haven't found them.
  3. It's Memphis, you have to be careful everywhere.
  4. I bought my iPhone the first week the 3g was released. and after a year I am even more impressed with its performance than when I first purchased it.
  5. I love my Neighborhood, Midtown IS Memphis.
  6. For all of the wackos out here in our neck of the woods, I still find plenty of honest to God Southerners.
  7. That sounds like an idea with some merit. I am just now getting my wife into shooting (they still scrre her a little bit), so anything to get her more exposure is a big plus in my book.
  8. just watched the trailer for this film. now at the top of my want to see list. The Way We Get By - a documentary film by Aron Gaudet & Gita Pullapilly about three senior citizens & Maine Troop Greeters Synopsis The SXSW Special Jury Award winning "The Way We Get By" is a deeply moving film about life and how to live it. Beginning as a seemingly idiosyncratic story about troop greeters - a group of senior citizens who gather daily at a small airport to thank American soldiers departing and returning from Iraq, the film quickly turns into a moving, unsettling and compassionate story about aging, loneliness, war and mortality. When its three subjects aren't at the airport, they wrestle with their own problems: failing health, depression, mounting debt. Joan, a grandmother of eight, has a deep connection to the soldiers she meets. The sanguine Jerry keeps his spirits up even as his personal problems mount. And the veteran Bill, who clearly has trouble taking care of himself, finds himself contemplating his own death. Seeking out the telling detail rather than offering sweeping generalizations, the film carefully builds stories of heartbreak and redemption, reminding us how our culture casts our elders, and too often our soldiers, aside. More important, regardless of your politics, "The Way We Get By" celebrates three unsung heroes who share their love with strangers who need and deserve it.
  9. Be careful, someone might see you digging in your pants and think you were going for your other gun!:P
  10. That's pretty much the gist of the law. Whether or not anyone has the cahones, lack of sense or both (depending on your POV) to test it without a crack legal team in place is another matter entirely. I am not brave enough yet. Though I gotta say I am itchin' too.

    Rifle Porn!!

That's what she said.sorry, couldn't resist. That is a nice looking collection.
  12. With their propensity for shooting people in the butt, you sure you want to point it there???????
  13. That's a pretty poor defense for theft don't ya think? Would you say something to an employee if you were at a store and saw someone stuffing merchandise in their pants? Whether you stuff a cd in your pocket or download it from a P2P network, theft is theft.
  14. Supposedly we are going to be getting a Papa Murphy's here in Mempho, I used to love them when i lived behind the Zion Curtain (Utah)
  15. Gotta love some Dyers. You just put me in the mood for a Filthy Diablo, 3 3oz patties 3 slices of cheese and 6 ounces of kielbasa in a toasted bun that was floated on the grease. They ought to throw in an angioplasty as a side with that thing, but they don't so I guess I will have fried pickles instead.
  16. When I worked for the Home Depot in the Tool Rental dept we had multiple trailers including some quite large ones with tires larger than 12" (like 30' trailers for things like excavators and bobcats) and they were all marked and rated for 55mph. Max towing speed takes more into account than just tire rating, It also accounts for the structural strength of the trailer. YMMV.

That sounds suspiciously close to "Show me yours and I'll show you mine."
