  1. We have had those in memphis for a while. I have asked a few officers how they liked them and the answer always seems to be along the lines of " it's annoying, I usually have it turned off" so no matter what the intentions, "they" can be easily defeated by a cop being lazy.
  2. Those counterfeit pens are worthless. Counterfeiters are bleaching low denom bills and then reprinting higher amounts on them. It will fool the pens everytime. The color shifting ink and the watermarks are your two big clues for bill authenticity.
  3. Morning Bump! See y'all there this afternoon!
  4. Finally, someone speaks some truth.
  5. Don't know where Punisher went, but I HIGHLY recommend No Regrets. It is at the corner of Madison & Tucker. Great guys who do great work.
  6. Inconceivable!
  7. We have a security officer who has one in his holster...you know, I really need to get something small to pocket carry at work.
  8. I bet you also park in handicapped spaces while handicapped people makes handicapped faces.
  9. So what forum was this thread moved to?
  10. I don't attend but I do know the campus and surrounding area very well:dirty:. It isn't in the greatest part of town, but it isn't the worst either. It is only about 6 or 7 blocks from Orange Mound though (don't travel south-west away from campus ). Do you plan on living on or off campus? If off, come up a few weeks prior and scout places to live. There are a few places real close to campus that are big no-no's. Overall though you will likely be fine. Once you get into town be sure to stop by Memphis Brew, great little coffee shop just across the tracks from campus, plus they are friendly to carry, even OC there.
  11. First time I took my wife to the range I forgot to tell her not to wear a tank top. I am proud of her in that when the inevitable happened, the gun went straight down to the counter before she tried to retrieve the hot casing from her boobs.
  12. This morning was at the Panera Bread in G'Town for the church staff meeting and was in my suit as I had someplace to be afterwards. I removed my suit coat while we were there and was OCing as we talked and as I went to refill coffee and whatnot. No reactions from anyone at all as far as I could tell. Since I have to run to Kroger in a little bit might as well leave my suit coat at home and see if I get the same sort of reaction (none at all).
  13. Most of the time I CC, but do occasionally OC after work to a coffee shop where I am a regular and for other quick errands on the way home. My holster is a tuckable IWB so I will just slide it in without taking the time to untuck and retuck my shirt. Sometimes I will also OC when I walk the dogs around the complex I live in. Most of the time if I OC, I am just being lazy and not taking the time to conceal. Of course I also wear tshirts a lot and don't really pay a whole lot of attention to how much I may be printing so I'd imagine sometimes I am inadvertently OCing.
  14. I think I have been to Murphy's Burrow before, isn't it just down the road from the Baggins' place in the Shire?
  15. Yep, it is a regular thing. The "Memphis Militia" as Jack refers to it gets together monthly @ RangeUSA. Here is the link for this month's call to arms http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/44544-memphis-call-arms-august.html
  16. That looks pretty awesome, but good Lord that is expensive for a comp. I could see getting one if I used my rifle professionally (especially on a select fire gun) but I don't, so it is a little rich for my blood. Still awesome though.

    Sporters

As a general rule I don't care the sporterizing of milsurps. That being said I don't have too much problem with it when the barrel and action are placed in a hunting stock. What gets on my nerves is when somebody bubba's up the original stock, barrel and/or action by chopping things down and drilling holes in places they shouldn't be and makes it unable to be restored to original configuration.
  18. I will be there. I'm off this weekend.
  19. I'm going to take my resume over there this week. Hell, even a part time side gig there would be cool. I have been wanting to work in a gun shop for a while, I just know that the pay usually isn't all that great. It might be a hard thing for a gun range/shop owner to pay what it would take to afford me full time.
  20. Awesomesauce.
  21. Hmm, maybe I need to send my resume over there with with all my years of cust. service / retail mgmt. starting to sound like they could use the help in that department.
