  1. I won't use PayPal for payment for firearms because it violates their TOS. That means that if the deal goes south then the PayPal buyer protections are not applicable and I can be out of money, product or both. No thanks.
  2. Will be watching this one as well.
  3. Dave, the legality of drugs doesn't seem to have had much of an effect on the points you bring up. There already exists an industry around the production, delivery and retail of drugs. Only, instead of using advertising to increase market share, they use violence. You cannot sever the harm done by the criminal enterprises that control the narcotics trade from the conversation.
  4. Haha smartass.
  5. Considering that there is a state law prohibiting this type of behavior by CLEOs, I think you should name some names here. Might lead to the proper amount of pressure being applied to change the status quo.
  6. Nah, no matter what they do on manlove thursday, the dudes in a keffiyeh are much manlier than some pansy ass hipster in a "scoodie".
  7. I live in Memphis, we do the same thing here.
  8. there's some dude just south of Memphis with a John Deere themed 80's era Caprice with 24" stay still rims. I used have pics of it. It was nuts.
  9. Nothing, just the way I like it. Hopefully my wife won't get any bright ideas and it will stay that way.
  10. (BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, MARCH 2011) -"With respect to the notion that I can just suspend deportations through executive order, that’s just not the case, because there are laws on the books that Congress has passed — we’ve got three branches of government.... Congress passes the law. The executive branch’s job is to enforce and implement those laws. And then the judiciary has to interpret the laws." ...
  11. The changes you describe Dolomite were not accidental or incidental to the hiring of more veterans. I'll gladly wear my tinfoil hat on this one, but I think these moves were made intentionally to foster distance between LE and their communities. Personal liberties and constitutional rights are easier to bypass when those whose rights you are violating are "them" and not "us". When it comes time to really go all out, the Feds won't have any problems following those orders and more and more local LE won't either. I'll wear my tin foil hat with pride as at this point, I think 2 of the 3 branches of our government have proven themselves as enemies of the people. Yet still, most of the population of this country will be willingly led to slaughter with the promise of bread and circuses.
  12. This is a really great article on Red State regarding the importance of this primary. http://www.redstate.com/earlgrey/2012/06/12/tennessee-house-district-45-a-primary-race-that-should-matter-to-all-tennessee-republicans/
  13. Although there are plenty of justifications (excuses) made by .gov for no knock entries, the track record of innocent deaths due to errors are inexcusable. Even more inexcusable is the overuse (abuse) of no knocks and the total disregard for 4th amendment rights that cannot be separated from their use.
  14. It could have the positive side effect of effectively ending the "no knock" warrants in Indiana.
  15. I can believe that. You're lucky it wasn't a '80s Chevy, wouldn't have nothing but a bare frame left.
  16. Spank, I too work retail and have employers rules in place to prevent carrying of a firearm on company property. A LCP in a pocket holster and keeping my mouth shut about it is my preferred solution. If things go south, I can find a new job, my family doesn't find me so easily replaceable.
  17. The striker assembly is only available as a full assembly and is a restricted part available only to certified armorers'. The M&P will not fire when it is 1/4" out of battery. I'd send it back to S&W.
  18. Seriously, just get the kit and be done with it.
  19. have to say that I am not a fan of most Trijicon pistol sights, but those look really nice. They address the issue I have always had with their sights, in that the silver ring is hard for my eyes to pick up. I might just look into putting those on my M&P45 mid in FDE when it gets in.
  20. I like my Meprolight Tru Dot sights that I have on my M&P9c. Easy acquisition, alignment and they are bright in the dark.
  21. Cozy Corner is great, get a Cornish hen. No, seriously, do it, you won't regret it. To the OP; Gotta get Gus' too. Another little spot that is excellent is Alannah's Breakfast Kafe' on N. Main between Jefferson and Adams. Really good, soul food influenced southern cookin for more than just breakfast. Speaking of soul food, if you are feeling adventurous enough to brave the ghetto, hit up the Sack n Save on S. Third st. Some of the best soul food I have had in this city. I'm talking about slap yo mama good. If one night you just feel like grabbing a pizza, go to the Memphis Pizza Cafe on Madison in midtown for their crispy thin crusted pies of yum. If you want catfish head over to Soul Fish on Cooper and just down the street is one of my favorite places to grab a beer or a burger, The Young Avenue Deli. All of the places I have mentioned do not post for firearms either.
  22. Still have to destroy the brain, a severed head can still present a bite risk.
