  1. Yep. It was never a LE effort. It was a political operation carried out by unwitting, and then unwilling law enforcement officers who became whistleblowers.
  2. Really nice work on the wife Rob.
  3. You want baiting the tiger? Check this out. http://www.franklinarmory.com/PRODUCTS_XO-26.html It isn't a pistol, it isn't a rifle, it isn't even an AOW. It is just a "firearm". Even ships with a copy of the ATF letter.

  5. I see what you did there.
  6. Always. Though it may seem like a bit of drift, it really is very closely related to the subject at hand. We are talking about what the fundamental definition of a marriage is and the legal recognition thereof. I personally don't like having the .gov sticking its nose in my relationship. Marriage should provide no legal benefits. If the .gov is going to give legal recognition and benefit to a relationship then it must do so in a nondiscriminatory manner that is blind to the type and number of the parties involved. I see this having application for other folks than just the romantically entangled. What about a couple of elderly, widowed siblings who maintain a common house? Wouldn't a civil partnership that has the legal rights of marriage be of benefit to them if one gets sick or dies? It would be easier and less expensive than using a lawyer to draw up the multiple POAs and wills (that could be contested by children) that it would take to achieve the same effect.
  7. Do you have a general issue with polyamory, or just tremble at the thought of two wives bitching at you?
  8. Exactly. If the .gov wants to get in the middle of things let the legal definition be called a "civil domestic partnership" and let any 2 or more adults engage in them for whatever reason regardless of romantic relationship. It would take care of all the legal bits currently attached to marriage, like inheritance or end if life decisions, next of kin status, while leaving the churches to use the word "marriage". Argument over at that point. It would also avoid the next battle that is coming after the gay thing gets sorted, legal recognition of polyamorous relationships.
  9. That is completely determined by what size tube you have on your rifle. Take your stock off and look at your buffer tube. This image should help you figure out which one you have. Link to source site. http://www.ar15fornoobs.com/mil-spec-vs-commercial-spec-buffer-tubes
  10. Did someone say hookers and whisky? I'll bring the blow, it's time to party!
  11. I finally found a Chik fil a I could actually get close to on my 3rd try by visiting the one in the mall that is never that busy (the mall, not Chik fil a).
  12. Time to seriously look at doing something similar here. I can't put it any more simply than this, prohibition does not work. It never has, and it never will.
  13. CL= CraigsList
  14. http://www.dsarms.com/DSA-ZM4-Forged-7075T6-A3-AR15-Upper-Receiver-300BLK---ZM4CBU300/productinfo/ZM4CBU300/ Here is another option to look at. I had a DSA upper on my last AR. I was quite happy with it. They are more known for their FALs (which are top notch) but they do a pretty decent job on the AR.
  15. Use of that tool to lower the internal takedown lever bypasses the need to pull the trigger as part of the takedown process (like the glock). That being said, if you happen to lose the takedown tool (even though it is part of the grip) you can still field strip it by pulling the trigger in lieu of using the tool.
  16. The only logic that matters is that the Corp wanted some Colt 1911s, and that is what they ordered. I imagine the procurement decision for these was decided long before any tests were designed. It likely wasn't any more complicated that someone with enough brass weight on their epaulettes said " I hate that damned Beretta and so do my men! They want a 1911 and by God we are gonna buy some for them, and we are buying them from Colt!"
  17. Could have been worse, I mean they could have gotten Kimbers
  18. Unless you are a dispensary, O went back on his word  and the DEA has raided quite a few over the last couple of years.
  19. I'm glad I wasn't the only who saw the echo of EFAD in what happened in Aurora.
  20. I am not surprised, but then again, I live in Memphis.
  21. I have shot a 9mm Sheild and IMO it feels very much like a 9c when fired. Though I owned a Nano for an afternoon, I didn't fire it. I don't like the feel of it in my hand nor the trigger pull when dry fired. My overall opinion of the Nano is "meh".
  22. G&R Tactical carries them, though they are out of stock at the moment. I'd sign up to be notified. A1 folks there.
