A Last Minute Appeal To Libertarians And Non-Voters
Chucktshoes replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No Mark, I actually believe in the ideals of the Libertarian Party. Gary Johnson is the candidate who most closely aligns with my views, therefore I am voting FOR him, not against someone else. I vote my conscience, regardless of the ability of the candidate to win. Here's the thing, even if Johnson won this race in some alternate universe, it wouldn't change anything. The American people have lost the will to be independent. They do not have the intestinal fortitude to be able to stomach the harsh medicine this country needs to right itself and prevent collapse. New Rome is a tinderbox just needing the right spark, and my only wish is that I am around to see the carnage as it all burns to the ground. -
Marine Corps helicopter pilot sues over Wyo. traffic stop
Chucktshoes replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
IMHO, The first responder needs to refresh himself on the laws in his state. Each state is different and i understand it might be hard for one who enforces those laws to remember every one. Both sides could have acted a bit better i do agree, But it seems like the Initiating leo didn't need to handcuff the rider. It's good that the rider( marine pilot) did record this encounter or we might not have gotten his side of the story. Here in Tennessee it probably would have gone another direction. Because in this state you are required to let the officer know of any firearms on your person or in the vehicle. Just to save a hassle, it's best to hand your permit with your license and registration. Luckily( knock on wood) i have not had a such encounter with police. I don't usually open carry, but i have not been stopped by police since having a gun permit either. Yes, i'm either that good at driving or my vehicle looks like a LEv.
The first part of the highlighted portion is incorrect, TN is NOT a must notify state. While you are not required to notify, you are required to produce the permit on request if asked and you have a firearm on you. That being said, I completely agree with the second sentence of the highlighted section. -
A Last Minute Appeal To Libertarians And Non-Voters
Chucktshoes replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Oh, I know who I am voting for. I am voting for Gary Johnson. It is no longer enough for me to vote against someone. I'm sick of pinching my nose to vote and then still being left with a bad taste in my mouth afterwards. Voting for the major parties is reminiscent of being a prison bitch. You don't want what either one wants to give you; all you get is a choice of which one is going to #### you. Either way you are left with a sore ass. -
I don't think that Romney is evil. I just don't believe that he is anymore a man of his word than Obama. With that being said, none of it matters at this point in the game. The point of no return is less than 24 hours away.
I would say the point of no return passed decades ago. We're just riding this ship down to the bottom at this point. Speaking of ships, this showed up on my fb and I think it sums the situation up nicely. "Voting for Obama is like the Titanic backing up and hitting the iceberg a second time. Voting for Romney is like the Titanic backing up and hitting a different iceberg. " -
The M&P is available with and without the ILS. If perchance, you find that you have purchased one with an ILS, they are not difficult to remove as long as you have basic mechanical skills and a few punches.

I'm not a hunter so my thoughts are likely worth exactly what you paid for them, but here they are. If you are engaged in the SPORT of hunting, I view baiting as very poor form. If you are hunting to put food on the table, well, that's a different matter entirely. Take advantage of whatever method you can to feed the family.
Maybe you should get involved in your Republican Party. What makes you think Romney won't be conservative? He is a conservative businessman. His role in MA politics doesn't have anything to do with whether or not he will be conservative. And that AWB argument won't hold 5 seconds of methane gas coming out of someone's ass.
Saving this for posterity. The absurdity of this post is completely awesome. Thank you for the laugh, I needed it. -
Ready to buy a Glock 19...Give me a thumbs up or your reason not to
Chucktshoes replied to a topic in Handguns
I've never cared for the Glock. Just don't like 'em. I'm a certified M&P fanboy, they just plain feel good in my hand. That's based off of nothing more than the completely subjective criteria of my personal preference. This seems to have turned into an Glock vs M&P thread when it really isn't an either/or proposition. They are both outstanding guns, I, personally, just happen to like one and dislike the other. -

New Jersey Turns Away Non-union Relief Crews
Chucktshoes replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
I've said this everywhere where I have seen this story posted. Would you expect anything different from New Jersey, the land where it is illegal to pump your own gas? -
The black coating is Lubalox, which Winchester still uses on their SXZ line of ammo for Bass Pro. I actually still carry some Black Talons in my M&P along with some Ranger Ts.

Potential Self-Defense Law Seminar -No Cost
Chucktshoes replied to midtennchip's topic in Events and Gatherings
I would be interested as well. This might be worth a trip over from Mempho for. -
I wholeheartedly agree. What makes him so great is they he understands the Constitution for the libertarian document that it is. At all angles the Constitution an the BOR seek to maximize individual liberty and restrain the hands of government. If you kept your ears open during the lecture and the Q&A you may have caught him extolling the virtues of Lysander Spooner (look him up and read his stuff) and condemning Lincoln as a "monster." When it comes to this nation's founding documents and liberty, the Judge gets it.

It is from Judge Napolitano's lecture at the 2012 Mises Institute Supporters Summit: "The Truth About War: A Revisionist Approach" that was held last week. Here is the lecture in full. I highly recommend for everyone to watch it.

And another reason why James Yeager is a tool
Chucktshoes replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
I am generally not a fan of Yeager and for the most part do agree that he comes off as a tool. However, this video does not add to that opinion. Countless times I have said the same thing that he did to customers who come in trying to buy the woman in their lives a gun. There have been times where I had to basically tell the guy to shut his pie hole, because the crap coming out of it was going to get his wife/gf/female relative hurt or killed. The only thing he said in this video that I disagreed with was defaulting to a shotgun for HD purposes. Though if a shotgun is going to fill that role, I do agree that a 20ga is a better choice than a 12ga for the reasons he stated. -
I'd imagine that the holster was threaded through the belt that way at the behest of the photographer.

I handled a Trijicon Reflex for the first time the other day and I was instantly enamored with it. I really like this particular piece of kit. It will be going on my rifle.

If you are thinking about Blackthorne AR's, look inside

Yeah, that's just a big ol' "Don't do it!" -
http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2012/oct/24/1024b-fp1-gary-johnson-for-president/ Their reasoning sounds very familiar to me.

Regardless of whether it came from Wal-Mart or the LGS, the rollmark still says Colt and it will reflect on Colt long after the place of purchase is forgotten. Colt knows that as well. They aren't sold for that much cheaper at Wally World to make a story like "Colt makes them out of substandard parts especially for WM" believable to me.

I was wondering that as well TNBrat. I mean are we talking Romero, reanimated corpse zombies? Rage-like virus zombies? Serpent & the Rainbow voodoo zombies? I imagine the biology of all 3 would differ a great deal.

He might be moving into Nic Cage land. "I don't care if it is any good, just make sure the check doesn't bounce!"

Yep. There were lots of black scorpion vs camel spider matches when I was in Kuwait.
