2. Looks like the author of that article and I are of the same mind. The problem with the nation is the citizenry, and there isn't any hope of fixing that problem. It is going to have to correct itself, and boy is it going to be a bad day for everyone when it finally comes to pass.
 3. I believe I picked up what you were laying down. I am just of the opinion that any hope of salvaging this country in its current form is a false one. The impossible debt and insolvency you allude to are already upon us. The folks in Washington are just able to still shuffle the numbers still. That time is quickly coming to an end, nobody can stop it. Not only is nobody able to stop it, nobody would even really try to because the American populace wouldn't let them if they did.
 4.
No one is going to save us from $20Trillion debt and a bankrupt country. NO ONE.
Nope. Nobody was going to save us from $16 trillion debt and a country that only appears to be solvent.
 5. I don't get your standard eggnog that has the low fat option. I get the good #### without HFCS or excess processing. You can't get a low fat version of the real thing. Speaking of which, I just need to learn how to make it myself.
 6. Next time you come across a story like that and feel like sharing, don't.
 7. I hate holidays, and most especially Christmas. However, I loves me some eggnog. I probably put on 10 lbs every winter just from the amount of eggnog I drink.
 8.
Since your property is up for sale, why not just give the guy permission to hunt? Dave S
I'm not the OP, but if I was, this would be my answer to that question. "Because he didn't ask." If it ain't your land, and you don't have permission from the owner, you know you ain't supposed to be there.
 9.
Taking up arms against other Americans is something you should never think about. When you die, you are just dead. If it was a good cause you are a martyr. If it was a bad cause you are a terrorist. Has someone suggested coming to your home and taking your guns?
Diane Feinstein.
 10.
Robert:____________ My 23 year old bludgoned me into not callin myself a Republican anymore about a year ago. As he is fond of sayin: "...I'm an equal opportunity political hater. I hate both political parties....". I think he is right. Ive finally realized that im a radical isolationist libertarian. I think we need to call all the troops home, quit sendin money to our enemies in other countries, and stop the dole... period. As John Smith said"...." No work, no eat....". I realize all that aint gonna happen; but that's the criteria that im usin for evaluating polititicos. Oh, by the way, im an Elitist too. As one of my ole buddies used to say: "....The older i get, the more elitist i become....". I know exactly what he wuz sayin. I find myself bein the same way. leroy
I wish I could like this post a thousand times, Leroy. You are spot on with my views these last few years. My political views are pretty simple these days. I don't care what you want to do, or how you want to live your life, just don't ask me to subsidize or pay for it in any way, shape, form or fashion.
 11.
I hope she gets cancer. Yes, I know it's harsh.
Nah, that's not harsh at all. I'd like to see her disemboweled. I have other ideas, but it might be better to keep those to myself. I could have made a nice living in the medieval period inventing new ways to torture folks.
 12.
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/10/24/fastest-road-in-america-opens-to-motorists-in-texas/ Any chance Tennessee will at least raise the speed limit to 75?
I see that happening.
 13. I only got one thing to say, go for it.
 14. Well damn! *puts plate carrier and rifle back in closet*
 15. Just saw one was stripped, make sure it is listed and transferred as anything other than a "rifle".
 16.
Do you need a lower identified as a pistol lower, or simply a pistol buffer tube to make it a pistol?
It needs to be transferred on the 4473 and listed in the log book as a pistol or receiver. If it is transferred as a rifle, you can't ever make it a pistol without a stamp. Since they seem to both be coming in with the stocks already, can't make them into pistols.
 17. If you are going to go with a shotgun for home defense, Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 in 20ga would be my recommendation. Both are available in a HD setup in the $400+/- range, less if you can find one used.
 18.
We seen those.. I dont know if I could go into public with those ..lol ..They do look rather goofy I have seen people wear those but cant ever see those having any support..Like soles and arch support.. Anyway..I thought you guys get a kick out of this..
I love mine. You are correct though, they provide no support. They don't have to. When your feet are allowed to operate as they were designed to, they do not need artificial supports. When I started wearing vibrams, my knee and back problems lessened as well. The heel-toe step caused by traditional shoes is just plain terrible for the body.
 19. Needs toe shoes.
 20.
It's like having $10,000 in your pocket, riding a bicycle to the car lot and trying to buy a Ferrari. When they say you can't have a Ferrari for that much, but here's a new Z06 Corvette, you say no thanks, hop back on your bicycle and ride off.
I think a more accurate assessment would be it is like haggling over whether or not you are going to get a reach around.
 21. The way you break the two party stranglehold on the nation is by moving from a first past the post voting system like we currently have to an alternative vote (aka instant runoff) style election. The quick and dirty version is that you rank the candidates numerically from 1st to last. If their is no clear majority, the candidate with the least number of votes is taken out and those votes are then given to the voters' next choice. This continues until someone has more than 50% of the vote.
 22.
Yes we both understand the other side, nothing wrong with discussing things... even getting into a heated debate. This is one of the few places where people usually remain civil even when arguing their fundamentals.
Agreed. Much better than Facebook where relatives unfriend me because I won't cut them, or their candidate, any slack.
 23.
if by "folks like you" you mean me then I don't get the purpose of your post or you clearly don't understand mine.
It was directed specifically as Sam1, your post crept in while I was typing. I was under the impression that we had come to an understanding on where we were each coming from. If you want to include yourself in that group, feel free. No sweat off my nose, we have radically different worldviews that only occasionally appear superficially similar.
