As someone who worked maintenance on the F-16 when I was in the Air Force I can attest to this fact. :lol: You couldn't pay me enough to take a ride in one. Those jets are maintenance hogs.

They seem to be operating on a 'kill on sight' basis. Dorner is obviously violently psychotic, and a danger to the public, though it is focused on those who wear a badge. Maybe he actually possesses damaging information they are trying to ensure doesn't get out? This is the LAPD after all, probably the only LE organization that rivals NYC in corruption.

I don't consent to anything more than I am legally and morally obligated to. I have great respect for local law enforcement and will assist them if I have knowledge that will help them solve a real crime. I will not assist an officer in a fishing expedition. The officer can either have PC that he can defend in front of a judge (because he will have to) or he can fuck off and go do his job and let me get on with my day.

I think the continued debate of renaming these parks is completely asinine. That being said, links2k is correct. The city council rushed through this action to prevent from being able to in the future. Right or wrong, the names or even existence of local parks is a local matter. If the state wants to acquire the property from the city of Memphis, make it a state park and take over paying for the care and maintenance, then they get a say in the the name of the park, not until then.

I understand your frustration and in principle agree with you. That being said, there are smart ways and less than smart ways to work to change what you see as wrong. Carrying without a permit and planning to fight it in court falls into the category of "less than smart". The odds of a judge or jury finding in your favor are slim, sadly enough. The smart way to change things is for us to continue to press our legislature to enact constitutional carry.
