1.
if they needed a gun why didn't they just go to a gunshow? Of course this act does prove that open carrying makes you a target.
2. I'm quite jealous. I lived in South Dakota for 8 years when I was a kid. It is some of the most beautiful country you will ever see. South Dakota is one of the few places I would willingly leave TN for.
3. Isn't that how you prepare for the next game? Study what you did right & wrong and learn your opponent's plays by watching the game tapes?
4. I keep a holster wedged between the seat and the center console in my Xterra just forward of the seatbelt buckle. It isn't visible from either side through the windows when i am seated and I am able to reach for it as if I was reaching to unlatch the seatbelt. Of course I drive a manual, so the odds of getting carjacked are pretty slim.
5. A friend of mine sums it up quite well. "You can't fight a war with f***ing lawyers."
6. I can't and won't argue with any of that. He was the best president this nation has had during my lifetime, no question about it. That doesn't make him a good president. Just because one turd stinks less than the rest of the pile doesn't make it a bouquet of roses.
7. I wasn't the one implying that Reagan's defense spending brought about its collapse. Maybe I'm not the one who needs to read up on it. ;)
8. Wait, I'm confused. The increase in total government spending (at twice the rate of growth than Ford &Carter) is the fault of Congress, but the increase in defense spending that you imply led to the collapse of the Soviet Union, well, he gets credit for that. How does that work exactly?
9. Pop quiz Robert, did government spending grow or shrink under Reagan? I don't care what the man said, I care about what he DID! It is the same standard I apply to the current gifted orator in chief.
10. The deification of RR annoys the crap out of me. He wasn't a very good president, he was just less terrible than the ones that followed and a few of the ones prior. We haven't had anything resembling a good president who respected and followed the constitution in deed as well as words since Calvin Coolidge.
11. As he mentioned in his speech, "it is better to be despised by the despicable than to be admired by the admirable." The Southern Preposterous Lie Center fits the bill of the first category.
12. The man in the video is Mike Vanderbough, author of the blog @ http://Sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com.

14. Say he doesn't crack right away. Say they need to continue the interrogation. They aren't going to use any of this in the trial so it is ok if they have to hold and question him incommunicado without access to an attorney for a day, right? What about a week? What about a month? A year? Five years? How long until we are violating his civil rights? No matter how much it pains us, he is a US citizen and needs to be treated as such.    They are setting precedents here that will apply to all of us. So when they decide that some of us who value our natural rights and civil liberties are the real enemies, what happens with this shitbag, will happen again to you.

16. I may hold an unpopular position here, but here it is. He is a US citizen and needs to be treated as such. That includes being afforded all the rights and protections thy citizenship brings with it. Remember all of the "what if" discussions over the nasty provisions for declaring citizens apprehended on US soil as an enemy combatant thus denying them their constitutionally guaranteed rights? Remember the worry about DHS letters calling folks like us possible terrorists? Anything they do to this guy, they can do to you or I. I want my pound of flesh as much anyone else, but I want it done the right way. We must ensure that in our search for justice today that we do not lay the foundation for injustice tomorrow.
17. Agreed. This is the best possible outcome at this point in the game. In fact, I would posit that although he is in custody, the investigation has only just begun in earnest.
18. Wait, can you hear that? It is the sound of nobody giving a crap. So a rich Fudd got mad and quit the NRA, meh.
19. Now seeing reports that one suspect is dead.
20. Suspect names overheard on scanner. Mike Mulugeta and Sunil Tripathi. Reddit actually had named Tripathi earlier in the day as a Brown University student that had gone missing, looks like he has been found. Well almost. He is still loose as of right now.
21. No, it isn't a gun. I'm just happy to see you.
