  1. According to the legal types, that hasn't been the case since the conclusion of Lincoln's war in 1865.
  2. This is not what I thought this thread was about. :)
  3. I love Mike Vanderboegh's response to this guy.   http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2013/05/to-collectivist-screed-writer-why-you.html
  4. You can order one from staples.com for $1300 and in June will be able to get them in stores.
  5. Maybe the question isn't why should we shoot the folks now in Washington when they aren't any worse than the communists in Washington during the 30s, for example. Maybe the question is why didn't our great grandfathers shoot Roosevelt when he was busy destroying the country?
  6. TMF, do you understand the difference between a democracy and a constitutional republic? When a government, no matter how "freely elected" ceases to protect the God given liberties of the individual, it ceases to be a legitimate government. Besides, who's talking about ambushing police? They are just the poor saps tasked with the dangerous task of enforcing bad laws and most are not enemies of liberty. It is much more effective to go after those who write the bad laws. Show them that they aren't safe from the consequences of their actions. Take out a few elected officials with a history of working against liberty and make sure to award their media lapdogs the Julius Streicher award for journalistic integrity. That ought to get their attention.
  7. I don't think that really matters. Pandora's box has been opened.
  8. In case you were needing another example of why some of us have no trust in the government. http://news.yahoo.com/teenagers-social-media-terrorism-threat-level-hard-assess-131320139.html
  9. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
  10. Very different. I can promise you that if such a day comes I won't hesitate to pick up a rifle, but it won't be to overthrow a freely elected government; it will be to put folks like you in the ground. After all, you will only be following orders. ;)
  11. A comfortable slavery is always an easy choice. May your collar be light and have soft padding so as to not chafe.
  12. Even that sounds too cut and dried for me. Best case scenario: Balkanization of the USA with at least a few "free" states holding to a more libertarian/constitutional form of governance. If you have read the Bracken Enemies trilogy, it reads as the most likely outcome for the US. I hate to be a doomsayer, but the USA as we *thought* we knew it is gone. I think it has been on life support for a long time. These last few years and the next few are the final nails. There is no saving her anymore. I just pray my daughter will be able to know liberty in her life.
  13. I hope like hell I outlive the sonofabitch. I will consider it a crowning achievement to piss on his grave. Fuck that fucking fuck Obama.
  14. "Eventually"?? That's already happened Mike. Between federal and state statutes, you likely committed a couple of felonies if you left your house.
  15. Now don't be going and bringing up facts!
  16. I like it.
  17. Whats stopping you from picking one up now and keeping it for her until she gets old enough. My little girl is 7 months old today, I bought her a M&P 15-22 when she was still around a month old just because I wasn't sure if they would still be as cheap and available when she gets older. Shell get to learn on that and my Ithica .22 that I learned how to shoot with I want her to help pick it out. She almost had one waiting on her to be born, but then I decided I wanted her to go with me to get "her" first gun.
  18. They better still be around in a couple years when I my daughter is old enough (3.5/4yo) to go with me to pick one out for her.
  19. Simple story of parental negligence. It is no different than if they had left the gate to the pool open and the child had drowned. As for O'Donnell, fuck that guy.
  20. My experiences with Comcast here in Memphis have been terrible. They were terrible when they were Time Warner and they continued to be terrible until I fired them for AT&T. I have never had the service outage issues with AT&T that seems to be unceasing with Comcast.
  21. When he came back for the gun he should have been shot. Doesn't matter he may not have been armed... it should have been a safe assumption he was. He was in a vehicle with an accomplice. I would have had to assume that he had rearmed himself, or that the driver was armed. Otherwise, why would he accost me a second time after having been disarmed? I would think that firing into the passenger compartment would be the most prudent action to ensure my quick escape to a safe location.
  22. As someone who leans heavily towards the side of shooting tyrants (and their sycophants) I have never pretended otherwise in my discussions on the subject. EVERYONE loses in this equation. Even so, the statists insist on pushing us ever closer to this outcome. There is a sizable number of people in this country who value liberty over breath. Nowhere near a majority, but a large enough determined minority to at least make a good fight of it. If only 3% of the number of the people (according to this poll) who think that armed rebellion is necessary were to pick up their guns and do what is necessary, you are talking about nearly 3 million people. That is more than enough to take the heads of the tyrants who wish to rule us who refuse to be ruled.
  23. This course was set long before any of us on this board were born, we just have the unfortunate luck to be around to watch the end.
