Open carry advocates prompt Chipotle posting
Chucktshoes replied to gregintenn's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I support open carry. I also support the right of private entities to set their own policies with regard to whom they will serve without any government interference. All that aside, I am having great difficulty squaring my belief in the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP) with my desire to buttstroke these two asshats with their own rifles. -

Anyone who still believes there is a real and substantial difference between the Rs and the Ds has been snookered so soundly that they are no longer being scammed, they are scamming themselves. -
I have a 3rd Gen iPad with Retina display. I would second QuietDan's suggestion wrt getting the model with more memory. That being said, I love my iPad and don't know how I did without it before.

Coming to realize how big an >4 inch blade really is
Chucktshoes replied to JAB's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
That is very worrying considering the one thing he did "know" was incorrect. It doesn't surprise me though, as I have encountered more LEOs who had no real knowledge of the carry statutes than were fully informed. That isn't necessarily a reflection on the officers so much as their (lack) of training from the department. To the topic, I have been known to use a 4.5' CRKT Dragon fixed blade at work for general utility purposes. It is really at the upper end of what I could justify carrying. It will be nice to be able to put it on the belt without worry of getting hassled about it. -
It seems the evidence was strong enough that the investigation took all of about 30 seconds. He was probably being paid during that time.
The evidence also appeared to be strong enough to get referred to the Knox AG. So getting fired might not be the end of the problems for that Deputy. I will be following story to see if charges do get filed. -
i guess they changed it, it was cash only back in 2008-2010
Some stores may have stricter policies than others due to past issues. I know at Walgreens we would have stricter rules regarding accepted payment methods for different products (gift cards, cigarettes, etc.) due to past problems with fraud at a particular location.

Last year, while I was putting in some hours behind the counter at the gun shop we had a Canadian youth baseball team wander into the store. I talked for a bit with the coaches and answered their questions. They asked several questions about the use of firearms in self defense, such as "What do you do if someone breaks into your home?" I was very forthright in my answers. "You shoot them." I got told they came back through again a couple of weeks ago and asked about me. "Is that redheaded guy with glasses working?" "No, not today." "Oh, that's good, eh. He kinda scared us."

Need some advice! Pics included
Chucktshoes replied to robin48's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Though not all the way up front, best I could think of is to attach a rail mounted sling adapter just aft of the handguard in front of your optic. I would be nervous attaching it to the gas block, but that may be an over abundance of caution on my part as the sling adapter is part of the standard front sight post. -

The furniture will be offered in stealth grey, not the mags. Mags are black. -
