New gun blamed for rise in LA County deputy shootings
Chucktshoes replied to waynesan's topic in Handguns
I was about to seriously call shenanigans then, I realized you were talking about the LASD and not the LAPD. It really is a non-story as long as no citizens were hurt and were made whole for any resulting property damage. -
Paging Freedom Group...

Not only that, but I read he fought on the Finnish side in the Winter War against Russia and hunted Nazis after the end of World War II.

Better quit discussing guns, or else!
Chucktshoes replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Great article that makes a solid argument that what this proposed rule is really about is outflanking a lawsuit from Defense Distributed. Cody Wilson has hooked up with Alan Gura and we all know Gura's track record against the .gov on gun related issues. I can imagine folks at State are keen to avoid getting their asses handed to them by Gura, again. http://thefederalist.com/2015/06/10/obamas-gun-speech-gag-order-is-retaliation-against-group-that-sued-the-govt-last-month/ -
SLR's alternative ambi-charging handle to the Raptor
Chucktshoes replied to Ted S.'s topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Is this a gen 1 or a gen 2 model? The gen 1s got pretty poor reviews due to the use of a solid detent instead of a roller ball detent. It apparently caused excessive wear on the upper and was prone to causing bloody noses when it wasn't too tight to engage. So, update again down the road after using it a while. I'm interested to see if your opinion changes. -

I like the looks of that. Update this thread to let us know how you like it. -
I'd really rather folks keep their problems in middle and eastern TN. You know how it goes, folks move to a nice area and bring their problems from their old homes with them. For whatever reason they just can't seem to leave their issues behind them.

1)That moment when you debut as a prettier woman than your ex wife. 2) I wonder if some of the more forceful reactions have been because on first look some folks' first thought was along the lines of "that's a great rack!" Gotta say, she's got a great surgeon.

Say hello to Caitlyn Jenner.

Yep. If you do stupid things, there comes a point where no amount of safety devices will make a difference. It is a lesson that a Lincoln County SO deputy almost learned the other night when he damn near got t-boned by my truck because he thought that pulling a u-turn in the middle of 231 just after a curve was a bright idea. Choose to strap on a helmet, or not. Choose to wear a seat belt, or not. Just try not to choose to put yourself in contact with another object because physics matters and the bigger vehicle usually wins that confrontation.

This is the only real use I still have for the software anymore.

I was having the same issues with Tapatalk and it was the final straw with that buggy, crap software. The mobile skin works better.

Having lived in Ocean Beach myself for a short time, I can wholeheartedly second this bit. In fact there is a little Mexican joint on Newport Ave. that is tucked into the corner of a bar that has the best carne asada burritos I had while I was there. Also, the place down on the end right next to the beach has the best fish tacos. I have no idea of the names of any of these places, I drank A LOT while I lived there.

Sheriff's employees may have profited during ammo shortage
Chucktshoes replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
And hey, if they are in the office fiddling on computers they aren't down on the street making up excuses to search people stuff, violating their rights and wrongfully arresting folks. I call this a general win for the citizens of Rutherford County. -
Lawmaker Says Memphis In May Breaking The Law

It was not posted to be intentionally misleading. The original story from the source listed Zimmerman as having been shot, as more information came out the different stories have been updated to reflect that. Sorry for the confusion.

Lawmaker Says Memphis In May Breaking The Law

It's what I've always done whatever I've attended Memphis in May in the past. :o -
Already been stung by a wasp this season. Was on a run coming back from IL a few days ago and I guess one had gotten into the truck and taken up residence on my tissue that I had in the cup holder. I grabbed it and blew my nose and the bastard crawled across my cheek onto my hand and stung me on the finger then disappeared! I got the truck pulled over on the side of the highway and spent 10 minutes looking for the asshole before I found, squashed, and threw his carcass out the window. Did not enjoy.

Apparently it was some sort of road rage incident and he got shot this time. http://www.wtsp.com/story/news/local/florida/2015/05/11/police-george-zimmerman-shot-in-lake-mary/27124931/

If you cross him, he's groin to get you. He isn't the type to take one on the chin.

I wonder if he is gonna get sacked from his LE job? It sounds like he was having a ball before he got arrested but I'm gonna reserve judgement as the whole situation is nuts and has an unsavory taint about it. http://www.wbaltv.com/news/police-anne-arundel-county-police-officer-bites-mans-testicles/32841400?utm_campaign=WBAL-TV%2011%20Baltimore&utm_medium=FBPAGE&utm_source=Social

Fair point, but that's a lot of sharp edges to be dealing with no matter how much lube you use. :o
