  1. Very cool. We’ve got quite a few Union faculty at our church.
  2. Grad school? Union?
  3. Yeah, generally there’s Illinois and then the Chicagoland area. Two totally different things. Same dynamic goes for California and New York. Sadly, I fear we’re on the same path with Nashville/Memphis and then the rest of the state.
  4. Crap. Shared the wrong link. That’s from an earlier action in the case. Here is today’s.
  5. I forgot to put the damn picture in the post.
  6. And Tapatalk to post.
  7. All of my AR platform guns have a LaRue MBT2S in them. It’s an excellent trigger that will be better than 95% of shooters will be able to utilize. The story about how it came about is funny as #### to me as well. Geiselle used to buy components from Mark LaRue with the understanding that he wouldn’t make them himself. Then he did. So Mark LaRue began to make triggers as good as Geiselle to compete with Big Trigger and priced well under his simply as a troll. Mark LaRue is absolutely my kind of asshole.
  8. Russian 7.62x39 Tula/Red Army Standard. $425 for the1k for the Red Army Standard $ Located in Jackson, TN, 400 for the Tula half case and 490 assorted rds (loose and in 20rd boxes 350 Tula, 100 Wolf Military Classic, and 40 rds of some unnamed Russian hunting hollow points.)
  9. Under the “Account Settings” menu you’ll find the option to change your display name.
  10. The last one who really wasn’t sadly left us recently. Even the ones I like are a little bit.
  11. This is actually a pretty solid suggestion. Man, I bet it’s gonna be a great show. Don’t care what y’all say. I love me some Yacht Rock.
  12. Cruise line selection will play a huge part in the ability to enjoy a cruise. Don't ever go Carnival.
  13. There are also plenty of reports from folks on the ground about FEMA being not simply absent, but actively a hinderance. I would imagine that both types are reports, good and bad, are equally believable. I doubt that there is some grand conspiracy but simply pockets of competence and incompetence competing to provide the lasting narrative on the government response. It’ll eventually all shake out but taking in all the data isn’t a bad thing. Neither is understanding that our own personal biases (whatever their nature) will color how we view what we see.

  15. Oh yeah. There’s nothing wrong with saying that a gun just doesn’t do it for you like you thought it would. Don’t get caught in a sunk cost fallacy and spend more money trying to make it be something it never will be. It’s better to cut your losses sell what you don’t need to recoup what you can and go in a different direction.
  16. I have to agree with 45 here. I would have to strongly lean towards the uniform and not the firearm that’s part of the uniform being what draws the attention of the criminal intent on an ambush. There are plenty of videos of people having their firearms stolen out of holsters while they are unaware. I would say that presents a strong argument that if you are going to OC, you must utilize a holster with active retention. It’s not necessarily a KO on the entire premise of OC.
  17. I should clarify that “explosion” is a relative term. The amount of folks actually interested in open carrying is a vanishingly small percentage over an admittedly small percentage who wish to regularly carry a firearm.
