Comms brought his ban entirely upon himself. His final comments in that thread went straight to potato. And not just potato, but hate filled, little mustache wearing, goose-stepping, short bus riding, potato. Political discussions can get pretty heated on this board and I know that I have walked very close line at times but that dude saw that line and took an Olympic track and field world record holding leap way past it

You only see that on your own page. You don't get to see the warning points other members may have accrued through COC violations.

Constitutional Carry Or Non Restricted Permit Carry

Alabama and Mississippi (enhanced permit) come to mind right off the top of my head. There are several others that also permit carry on K-12 premises. -
Rifle inscription used against officer in court
Chucktshoes replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
True, but why do the work for them? Why not make them work for it instead of handing them all the ammunition need to string your ass up wrapped in a pretty bow? Adorn your toys, but keep your weapons clear of silly shit that may come back to bite you in the ass later. For me the key is that I understand that there is no justice to be found in our legal system. It is an enemy territory designed to destroy those who find themselves trapped in its workings. I don't view it through the lens of what I think it should be, but through the jaundiced eyes that see what it for it actually is. -
Rifle inscription used against officer in court
Chucktshoes replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This is pretty well exactly the point I was attempting to make. Adornments like engraved dust covers and such are a form of speech and can be used against us just the same as anything we say out loud. -
Rifle inscription used against officer in court
Chucktshoes replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'm refraining from commenting on whether I think the shooting was justified or not for two reasons. One, I haven't read into the case and I also have a known bias. Besides, it is a subject that isn't really primary in this case because justified or not, the inscription is being used to cast the incident in a negative light. Some like to cast it as a black and white, justified or not situation when I think there is often the possibility that we may find ourselves in a very grey area as to whether deadly force is justified. This incident goes to show that if it isn't clear cut, the way we adorn our weapons can very possibly be used against us. -
We've often debated whether or not personalizations on firearms would be used against the owner in court. Until now I don't think I've seen an actual case where it was actually done. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/03/robert-farago/cops-ar-15-dust-cover-inscription-used-against-him-in-court/ "“Inscripted on the officer’s gun, and I hate to use profanity, but it said, “you’re f*****,”’ Laney Sweet, Daniel Shaver’s wife said. According to several sources, the rifle’s vulgar inscription is on the inside of the rifle’s dust cover. The inscription is only visible if the dust cover is open, which happens automatically in order to eject spent rounds while the weapon is fired. “That statement tells me this is a person who’s enthusiastic about killing people,” Marc Victor, lawyer for Sweet and her late husband, argued. “That’s what that inscription means.”"

Constitutional Carry Or Non Restricted Permit Carry
Chucktshoes replied to 300winmag's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Speaking for myself, I understood your position, but as Dave said we are already a "special group" who pay for a privilege and I don't think the correct path is trying to make us more special. The state should recognize and respect the rights of all the people instead of forcing folks to pay exorbitant fees to exercise their rights. -
Constitutional Carry Or Non Restricted Permit Carry
Chucktshoes replied to 300winmag's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Constitutional carry is a more pressing issue than fully unrestricted carry. It represents the greater infringement upon a natural right of the two options. -

Anybody want to chip in on a bag as a gift to the ATF? :D

So, on a slightly related note, anybody wanna make bets on how long before I start having "paperwork issues" with my purchases? [emoji38]

*edited to add* the first shots fired were by the ATF and resulted in a blue on blue friendly fire caused injury. While I am a strong and vocal critic of the tactics and actions of many legitimate LE organizations, I don't wish the harm upon most officers as I do the jackboots of Burn All Toddlers First. That's because the BATF isn't in any way a legitimate LE agency. What happened in Ruby Ridge, Waco, and Fast & Furious aren't aberrations. They are only the most publicly known episodes in a pattern of behavior that goes back many decades. The wanna be Rambos over at F-troop have a long history of use of excessive violence, blank warrants, raids and imprisonment of folks over minor paperwork failures, just outright made up charges and general abuse of the public in the most sickening displays of government malfeasance. They exemplify everything that's wrong with and makes folks despise LE. When I reference Nuremberg defense not holding water, I mean it. Not just the way they enforce the laws, but the laws themselves are an immoral act of violence against the people. The Branch Davidians in Waco were as justified in their use of force in defense against the ATF as were the Jews in Warsaw ghetto uprising of 43. The ATF are our American Shutzstaffel.
-
82 men, women and children murdered over the suspicion of an unpaid $200 tax stamp for something that shouldn't be against the law in the first place. The Nuremberg defense doesn't hold water. The only honorable thing those four officers ever did in the employ of that organization was done that day when they got themselves killed. I imagine I am already skating on very thin ice at the moment with my comments so I think it is best if I stop now.

Have I ever mentioned how much I really, really hate those guys?

This is where I am at. Shit happens, we are all human and he could have taken the "that's why those things are a bad idea" track. Instead he staked out a position that calls his integrity into doubt. Never a good place to plant one's flag.
