  1. Honestly, it doesn't normally travel with me. We moved recently and because of issues with the new place our stuff was going to sit in a pod for a week or two while I was away and we waited for the house to be ready. I decided to throw it in the truck for this trip out. Safer with me than "protected" by a padlock. Not the most valuable item, but it is the one with the most danger in the wrong hands.
  2. Yep. Next renewal is gonna get a lifetime permit for the wife and I.
  3. If I found myself in a similar situation I'd have to find a new job. Of course that's been the case and a known risk at any job I've had since I started carrying. Companies have their policies, I have mine. If they ever come into conflict then I'll just mosey on down the road to drive a truck somewhere else.
  4. I'm on the change it side myself. Consider his hatred for central bankers I always found it a bit amusingly perverse that he was on a central bank note.
  5. My condolences for your loss.
  6. This tweet sums up why folks react the way they do to the passing of a Prince, or a Bowie, or a Lemmy.
  7. The road is a a strange and sometimes dangerous place. You never know what the day might call for.
  8. I drove an ice cream truck for a few months one spring when I first moved to Memphis. I was around 21 or 22 at the time. You have no idea how right you are. [emoji6]
  9. She's a beaut. I wouldn't have traded her either. I soooo got a jones for a FAL.
  10. I missed out on its big brother. It's a major regret of mine but i had just lost my job during that time. By the way, if anyone decides they want to offload one of the TGO Godfathers, you know where to find me.
  11. Oh, you're not supposed to carry firearms to northeastern states? [emoji56]
  12. I hate you. [emoji38]
  13. Well, when you set your gun on the seat before ramming someone and the guys with the submachine guns are around the corner running a train on a waitress instead of doing their jobs along with piss poor engagement tactics, it's bound to happen. Call them heroes if you want, but the only good things the agents involved in this incident did was serve as examples of what not to do.
  14. Like every single Pilot and Flying J in the state. They all use the very large 30.06 signs to prohibit carry in them.
  15. There has got to be a good Monty Python and the Holy Grail joke in here somewhere.
  16. I had Taco Bell last night, I'm pretty sure I can help you out with more than a pint's worth.
  17. Well, in that movie there is a line where one character says to another character "you never go full retard". Well, the Internet being what it is, coined the phrase "he went past full retard straight to potato".
  18. Crazy? I believe the word you were looking for was dumb. Definitely dumb. Also acceptable are "idiotic", "moronic" and "are you fucking kidding me?".
  19. Spotted today on I-95 heading into Delware wearing Jersey plates.
  20. Did you ever see the movie Tropic Thunder?
  21. I never met the kid and didn't interact with him much here so I speak only from a place of my own life experience. That said, his words speak of a young man at risk and I hope that he has solid folks in his life that can steer him in a better direction. It can be really easy to follow that rabbit hole to a nasty place. I know that I am thankful to those that guided me when I flirted with some similar types of extremist thinking.
  22. I remember it very, very clearly. This is a link to Mac's post that contains the quotes of his full potato posts. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/index.php?/topic/95339-Big-protest-could-turn-into-riot-in-Chicago%2E-%28Happening-now%2E%29/page__view__findpost__p__1366348
  23. Oh, I still say some shit now and then. Though I am much much happier since I don't have to deal with those bastards at Walgreens anymore and it probably comes through in the way that I post.
