  1. My M&P has no manual safety and a 4.0# trigger pull. Doesn't matter how light the trigger pull is if you keep things off the trigger that don't belong there.
  2. Because busybodies in government like to tell folks what they can and can't do with their own property and make it a source of revenue.
  3. This gun has more chin than Bruce Campbell, but according to a gun writer guy I know, "it shoots flatter than my ex wife's tits." http://www.recoilweb.com/recoil-exclusive-hudson-h9-revealed-121960.html
  4. They already did that in 2015. Seritage Growth Properties
  5. As an OTR truck driver that's a luxury I can't afford. Travel isn't a choice for me, it is how I provide for my family and reciprocity is a matter of vital concern for me.
  6. That's #2. My prediction is that we will go from one of the most widely honored to one of the least by the end of the year. Time to start looking at UT and FL non-resident permits.
  7. Yep. Only on active duty status during drills and deployments. So basically this little feel good stroke by the legislature which will benefit a very, very small group has and will continue to cost us reciprocity in other states. That will also be a matter of limited effect for most folks as they probably don't travel a whole lot (unless we lose reciprocity with some neighboring states). It has an immediate effect on me as I routinely travel the lower 48 as a truck driver. Looks like I have to study up on the OC laws for a few more states now. I may be staking some unpopular ground here, or not, but this was a bad law. From idea to execution of that idea, it was ill-thought out with zero forethought of the consequences. A real easy easy and simple way they could have achieved the same goal would have been to allow an active duty military ID to serve as an equivalent to the HCP. I'm sure there are flaws in that plan, but it would have limited the fallout to inside the state.
  8. So you're saying you've only been outdone by Lenny then, eh?
  9. Yep. I joined in may of 09. Didn't realize when I joined that the site was still so young. Almost 8 years later and it's still a daily visit.
  10. Nope. Not a military cartridge and therefore ok to own. Thats a gorgeous view of Lake Chapala.
  11. Since we moved out into the sticks, we've learned the hard way that we can't mail or count on receiving important things like bills. Our mailman is a nice enough fellow, and our neighbor, but I don't know if it is him in specific or that post office location as a whole, I just know our mail service put here is super unreliable.
  12. How is it I've heard it put before? "You might beat the charge, but you can't beat the ride."
  13. Welcome to the wonderful world of gun laws in Tennessee. This vagueness is the reason I advised caution so strongly. It doesn't matter who tells you what now. You will be at the mercy of whatever government agent you come across out there in the wild. It's his interpretation and mood that's going to be the deciding factor of whether you get a "have a nice day" or a "you have the right to remain silent" or worse.
  14. I love me a good Tommy Bahama but I don't get to wear mine much because I'm afraid of screwing them up messing with trailers.
  15. As the resident anarchist who finds these laws unconscionable, let me provide a word of caution and advice. Any and all statements that lean towards you carrying being legal or allowed in these situations all depend on the most friendly and understanding of officers being the one you encounter. I'm of belief that any law that criminalizes any behavior that isn't a violation of the life, liberty, or property of another isn't just ill-advised, or illegitimate, but immoral and wholly unjust. So I choose to do as I wish without regard to the law. That said, I'm a grown man who understands the consequences if I encounter a cop who doesn't have the same views on liberty and freedom that I do. Thats a long winded way of saying that before you engage in any action or behavior you need to make sure that you are fully aware of the consequences of dealing with someone who doesn't agree with your conclusions that justify your behavior. The consequences in this case can be permanent and possibly fatal. These are big boy games with big boy rules. Make sure you understand the rules of the game before you decide to play.
  16. My in laws have had the same king mattress set for 26 years. Both of them have had back issues over the last few years. We bought them a king size Purple mattress to replace their old one.
  17. Accurate.
  18. My magic requires a very light touch to open. In fact, if I press firmly on it it actually doesn't like to open and I can even stop the blade from opening all the way if I press too hard.
  19. Mine was too at the time. They're an awesome knife, but I think the design (while totally cool) makes them prone to inadvertent pocket openings.
  20. I concur that that your shipment was likely repackaged because it got wet on a conveyor belt and then blew open. Like at least half of Memphis, I worked in the FedEx hub at one time. Damaged and reboxed packages were fairly common. It's all about getting the package to its destination and let the shipper and receiver determine if there is a problem with the contents. Claims can be handled from there.
  21. I did the same thing with my Magic. That wicked edge bites deep. It got replaced by my Strider for edc for that reason.
