  1. Not in the state of Tennessee. They are prohibited by statute from sanctioning you in anyway if you do not pay camera tickets. If you get one of those in the mail, throw the thing in the garbage. Or better yet, send it back with a note telling them to piss off and citing the statute.
  2. I agree with everything you said Dave, with the exception of the quoted lines. The current administration and its Justice Department are very pro law enforcement, not pro law and order. They are different things and it is very dangerous to confuse the two. I believe recent statements to law enforcement about not being overly concerned with how tough they're being with suspects lends credence to my position.
  3. Now, this is pure speculation on my part. Looks like some butt hurt over not having their authoritah respected. There is a word to describe what we are witnessing in this video, and it is torture. It doesn't matter what happened before what is shown on the video, every officer involved should be wearing cuffs.
  4. You're telling me! I have at least one instance where I am certain that having my firearm on me allowed me to avoid getting jacked. .
  5. I wouldn't sweat it. It is legal to have a loaded firearm in your vehicle with your TNHCP. I travel through IL all the time armed. It's no big deal.
  6. That rubicon has already been crossed and it is bad for everyone. As far as the threats to cops, they aren't nearly as imminent as certain factions like to portray. Policing in this country is actually a reasonably safe job. It doesn't even make the top 10 for on the job deaths (and over half of them are auto accidents). Even with the targeted ambushes of officers you have to go back many decades to find years with comparable raw numbers of officer deaths. When you take into account that there were far, far fewer police officers at that time, it makes the current rates that much lower.
  7. Let's not forget that were it not for the efforts of WREG, the department/DA would have never admitted to the screwup.
  8. Just because it starts there, doesn't mean it ends there. Think about the changes made to your TNDL in the last few years to bring it in line with federal RealID standards.
  9. And some duct tape to perform repairs in the field in case someone does hit the uprights.
  10. Grew up an AF brat and then went in myself after HS. After 22 months I received an honorable discharge and spent the next year working for AOL in Ogden, UT. I then decided to move back to where the family lived here in W. TN and spent a couple of years bouncing around IT and construction jobs before landing in retail and quickly working my way into management. Spent a dozen years doing that with the occasional bonus of getting to beat up shoplifters. Then my employer decided to reorganize its store level management structure and I was offered a buyout. I was ecstatic to take it. These days I drive truck OTR and can finally afford the type of toys I've drooled over when I was eking by in retail. I'm getting ready to buy my truck and take it semi-local as I look for the balance between work and family.
  11. It would help the citizenry, but it wouldn't be in the government's interest.
  12. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/07/02/gemtech-sold-smith-wesson/ Massachusetts based firearms manufacturer Smith & Wessonhas purchased Idaho Silencer manufacturer GEMTECH. With details slim at the moment, there are obviously a lot of unanswered questions. However, the new GEMTECH headquarters building in Meridian, Idaho is still on schedule as well as all current product development and manufacturing capabilities.
  13. It is absolutely the best of the DC EU films out so far. The whole family loved it. Especially my daughter.
  14. You must be new around these parts.

  16. It really is the simplest (and I think) best option.
  17. Payment sent. Thanks again, I hate you.
  18. Your suspicions would prove to be unfounded if you were to take the time to find out who Julie Borowski is and what she's about.
  19. I did. I brought up rights. The post of yours that I quoted, quoted a post of mine. That post and the link contained therein were almost entirely centered around the subject of 2A rights and whether or not we as a nation really believe they apply to everyone, and specifically black folks. I made the assumption you were addressing the contents of that post when you quoted it. As as far as your explanation of style origination, I've heard at least a dozen different explanations for the genesis of that particular portion of urban styling (which is actually fading in popularity pretty quickly). All are irrelevant as it doesn't really matter where it originated, what is pertinent is that it is/was a widely popular style throughout the population. The position you are putting forth is that anyone who dresses in the popular styles of black youth culture is assumed to be of a criminal element. You are actually making the exact case that I am here, and those who are at the forefront of the BLM movement are attempting to make to society at large. Black folks, and black men especially, are viewed as inherently dangerous and criminal by white society. Because of that fact, they are killed at a disproportionate rate by law enforcement. That fact cannot be allowed to stand. It must be changed. Thank you for your assistance, even if it was inadvertent as I suspect it was.
  20. So, rights are only rights if you approve of one's manner of dress or speech then, eh? Got it. By the way, could you break down what a "thug" looks like? Is it the clothes in the style popular in urban areas? Is it the hair? What exactly constitutes a "thug" or a "gang'sta"? I ask this because in the modern parlance, to the people who have it thrown in their direction, "thug" is a six letter word.
