  1. It’s a balmy -9* here. Almost time to break out the shorts. It was -17* last night.
  2. My perspective is from someone that’s worked in guns stores and been the guy filling out the logbooks. You might have seen 10 minutes worth of work, but there was more before you got there and later that night after close. If anyone wants to know why a good chunk of ffls don’t handle transfers, look no further than this thread.
  3. Actually, the amount of work for transferring multiple guns is significantly more than for transferring a single gun. Each gun is individually logged in and out of the ffl’s logbooks. In addition, if one transfers multiple handguns that triggers another form that has to be filed with the ATF. Each firearm requires the same amount of work whether it is sold singly or as part of a multiple.
  4. Meh.
  5. Started watching it, having to finish it later as it is much more adult than I realized. I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. Reminds me of Alien Nation mixed with Colors and D&D.
  6. Yes, yes you are.
  7. Speaking the Pumpkins, I picked up The Aeroplane Flies High box set on vinyl this year. I had bought it on CD 20 years ago but I think it really shines on vinyl. Plus the packaging and presentation is always better at 12x12 vs the size of a CD.
  8. Folks generally only remember the one novelty hit but everything else on that record was just great 90s alt-rock. They've stayed together and continued to make music. I have their most recent record as well. Still great music.
  9. Happy Belated B-Day Rick Nielson
  10. These are my favorite Christmas movies.
  11. I've had an eclectic afternoon of music as well. After the earlier xmas albums, moved onto these.
  12. Decorating the tree with the family and providing an appropriate soundtrack.
  13. If you are going to be shooting both suppressed and unsuppressed a lot, I would go ahead and put on the adjustable gas block. You may tune it all up nice now for both, but when you change the ammo it may develop issues again.
  14. If the federal government can tell states that they must recognize another state's permit using the Interstate Commerce Clause then they can tell states what the qualifications must be to get those permits in first place. Do you want a Democrat trifecta of house, senate, and President determining that you have to have "good cause" like in Cali or Maryland for a permit to be valid? Unless the right to carry under the 2A is incorporated under the 14th, any meddling by the fed.gov is fraught with danger that will be exploited when the opportunity arises.
  15. They do. It's called the NCAA. It costs them way less money than baseball's minor league does because bribes are way cheaper than supporting actual teams.
  16. This is not a positive long term development.
  17. Nice!
  18. Here is a recent acquisition of mine.
  19. This seems like an opportune time to reiterate that nuclear proliferation is simply a market response to U.S. foreign policy. If I was in leadership of any nation state that was not interested in being a ally/syncophant of the U.S., I would aggressively be pursuing a nuke program. It's the best way to keep the U.S. from ####ing with you if you have conflicting goals.
  20. I generally don't care about sportsball, but the depths being plumbed by UT this season puts a hell of a smile on my face. Go Memphis Tigers! Also, keep y'all's filthy hands off our coach.
