I’ve done it as well. It was on a rifle I still have, have no intention of selling. I didn’t want to disturb a reliable, well functioning gas system and needed a very low profile to fit under a very narrow handguard. While a close inspection would reveal the difference in finish, the cold blue I used has kept it corrosion free for going on 5 years or so. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again if appropriate for the job at hand. That’s the real problem with the bubbas of the world, determining when it’s appropriate to do something and then doing it well.

Sorry, I don’t know anything about Jaws. I’m sure they’re great. Small joints like that usually are, like the Filthy Diablo at Dyers. My post was more of a comment on In N Out being a very low bar. I’m personally a big fan of five guys as far as the chains go.

That’s not a high bar at all. In N Out is soul crushing in its mediocrity. Pure garbage.

While I’m totally in for a TGO hat, just like to drop the idea that I’d also really like to get my hands on an SN hat as I think it might be nice conversation starter. I am constantly traveling all over the country after all. Plus, you just plain did a bang up job on that logo.

I’m pretty sure this is the same software used by another board I am on. It seems to work well enough over there. Pretty clean and easy to use as long as you adjust your email settings so as to not receive an email for every little thing that happens on the forums.

Same here. I swear they must have gotten more aggressive with their filtering as I found some emails from a few lists that I actually signed up for that disappeared recently from my regular box.
