  1. Depending on how much you shoot, suppressors get hot. Very very hot. It’s the same reason you don’t generally have light mounts that attach directly to a barrel. You’ll cook your light and burn your hand trying to actuate it. There are other reasons this is a bad idea, but this is what I would say is the primary one.
  2. Damn. I spent the night at the TA in Nashville last night. Had my daughter on the truck with me. We woke up and hopped on the 24 only to be forced right off. I guess this was why. As someone who lives his life on the road, this sort of thing scares the everloving crap out of me. It also fills me with a pretty unhealthy rage.
  3. You know how you can you tell it wasn’t a Glock?
  4. #### him. Sideways. Twice. With a rabid cat.
  5. If I express my true feelings here, I might not be allowed back around these parts, much less remain a mod.
  6. Hell, I’m sure he dropped some Hershey bar in his pants.... ...that night! I hope he wore his brown ones.
  7. I’ll take a radical right winger over a commie any day.
  8. Go with the 70.
  9. If you can find a deal on a Montana Rifle Company ASR you’ll be in the $1k territory, maybe just under if used. Youll never regret it.
  10. Not to mention, no matter how poorly the Republicans treat gun owners by paying lip service and then not following through, what are their other options? They’re not voting for a Democrat who is openly hostile to them. The R’s have gunowners as a captive voting block just like the Democrats have many minority groups. They get all of the benefits without having to do any actual work. Welcome to the plantation.
  11. Just be careful what you click on....
  12. If I get a hankering to know what was on those drives, I’ll just call the Russians.
  13. Damn.
  14. “The Department of Justice is issuing a rulemaking that would interpret the statutory definition of machine gun in the National Firearms Act of 1934 and Gun Control Act of 1968 to clarify whether certain devices, commonly known as bump-fire stocks, fall within that definition.” ... In February, however, President Trump directed Justice to take another look at them, a move that was supported at the time by the NRA. He apparently wanted the ATF to look deeply into the emanations and penumbras of the law to see if, just maybe, there was a way to look at bump fire stocks in a whole new way. Well, take another look they have, and — to the surprise of no one — now that we’re past the midterms, the DoJ has now classified bump fire stocks as NFA-regulated items, the legal equivalent of a machine gun. Pay special attention to the bolded portions. They are demonstrably false. Anyone who has one or has shot one or just understands how they function can tell you that the trigger still has to be pulled for each firing of a round Full article at the link https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/11/daniel-zimmerman/breaking-doj-rules-that-bump-fire-stocks-are-now-machineguns-fall-under-nfa-regulation/
  15. That $1500 price point is gonna severely limit your options for obtaining quality NODs.
  16. It’s a dime a box. Doesn’t matter if it’s a 20 rd box or a case. It’s a dime that goes to the TWRA. It’s one of the least objectionable taxes in my book. If you stick around you’ll learn how big of a statement that is coming from me.
  17. I was just talking about this song with a friend of mine today.
  18. Considering the stuff I’ve posted directly on the ATF Facebook page, they’d never let me near a gun again.
  19. Yeah, wwii anti-material rifles are wicked awesome. I’ve always wanted a Solothurn.
  20. Agree with Omega. As far as space goes, if you have a dining room or coffee table, you got plenty of space. You’d spend more on one shop visit than you would on buying the tools it’d take to do the job.
  21. Dave does this sort of thing on the reg. He’s one of my favorite humans in the entertainment world.
  22. Tagged for interest.
