As much as it pained me to do so, I had to make the hard decision to back off of getting one. I really wanted one but I just have too many irons in too many fires. Being a semi-responsible adult sucks sometimes. Lord willing I won’t see one in my local gun shop because I don’t know that I could help myself.

62gr is an inherently inaccurate round. The steel penetrator is never perfectly centered.

Before this year I was never really a podcast guy. The Shooter’s Nation podcast along with The Joe Rogan Experience finally got me into listening to them. There’s about a bajillion of them out there, so what are y’all listening to? The two I’ve been really into lately are https://www.themeateater.com/ This is Steven Rinella’s podcast. Rinella is probably the best public face of hunting out there. He’s a great talker and makes a really fun podcast https://cocaineandrhinestones.com/ Tyler Mahan Coe’s podcast is about the history of country music in the 20th century. It’s the stories behind the greatest storytelling genre in American music. The podcast is sometimes dark, sometimes NSFW, sometimes disturbing (watch out for the episode about Spade Cooley) but always incredibly detailed and informative. What are y’all listening to?

Dipping into one of my slush funds.

I’m creating a little liquidity right now because I have to have one. I’ve wanted a 92 with a Gallatin rollmark ever since the move was announced. This scratches this itch in an ultimate way.

You are correct on all points. Shes aged quite well actually.

I remember when they played music on MTV. It was pretty awesome.

It’s inspired by a true story as well.

While I understand that this topic could be of interest to some, the reality is that it doesn’t really belong here. It didn’t happen in Tennessee, it isn’t recent, and I just don’t see what purpose it serves by being posted. Here is a general reminder for everyone. While criticism of law-enforcement isn’t verboten, it must be relevant to the purpose of this forum. Please keep that in mind when posting threads of this nature.

Criminalizing Private Gun Sales

Any bets on what the dead cop to dead citizen ratio will be? -
Yep. If the New Madrid throws a big enough quake to cause the Mississippi to flow backwards again, especially into the local tributaries, it’s gonna be bad for Memphis. Real bad. Most folks don’t realize that Memphis is essentially an island. Between the Mississippi, the Wolf River and Nonconnah Creek, the three of them almost completely surround the Memphis metro area. Enough backflow from the Mississippi coupled with some bridge failures and Memphis is a ferry town again.

ATF will no longer rule on accessories
Chucktshoes replied to Chucktshoes's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Requiring a submitter to make a thing for submission and then charge them for making that thing is a bad faith action and not something I would worry about. Their ability to garner an indictment, let alone a conviction is highly unlikely in my estimation Here’s where this gets really bad for the end user. I’m thinking about buying a Springfield Saint Edge. Now let’s say Springfield has submitted that to the ATF and gotten back a guidance letter saying that in that specific configuration, it’s good to go. Sounds good, right? Now let’s say I want to add an angled fore grip to it. Now the configuration has changed and the letter no longer covers my gun. Change the grip to one I like better? Nope. Add a light? Nope. Optic? Nope. The letter only applies to the specific configuration submitted to the ATF. Any changes at all to the gun makes the clearance letter no longer applicable. The pistol market just took a huge hit. -

No, it’s not. This is bad. -
The ATF has issued new guidance that it will no longer rule on the legality of accessories as a stand alone item. They must now be attached to a gun and the entire gun sent in and then will rule on that specific and exact configuration. This most definitely is fallout from the ATF losing that case last month where the guy’s defense used several guidance letters to convince the jury that he hadn’t made an SBR. https://www.recoilweb.com/atf-declares-it-will-no-longer-offer-classifications-on-accessories-submitted-144230.html

I was wondering about that myself. Does that mean that as long as you’re not out between sunset/sunrise it’s ok to use?

What’s that saying that used to be real popular around these parts? Oh yeah, I remember! Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
