whats with all the overpriced glock kits these days?
Chucktshoes replied to Magiccarpetrides's topic in Handguns
I’m still wanting to pimp out my M&P 9 2.0, but the HiPower is coming first. I’m also debating getting a fresh one to do all the work on and leave my carry gun alone. -

I think that’s about the best analogy I’ve heard to describe it. -
Is that a bug or a feature? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Seriously tho, get your gear fixed before the folks at Burn All Toddlers First try and hem you up for loaning a rifle that ends up malfunctioning to a friend and call it “transferring an unlicensed machine gun.”

Gotta second Capbyrd about the lube and trying different mags to ensure it isn’t a mag issue. Other than that, I’ve got nothing for the ammo itself as I don’t feed steel to any of my guns.

It is 54R.

The thought of running a rifle class with an HP carbine makes me legit LOL. You rock.

Two spares for my primary. One for the secondary when I carry it.

Funny you should mention Yugoslavia. That’s what I do see happening here. I’ve become convinced that the Balkanization of the US is the inevitable outcome and it will be centered around economic factors. Nobody has the will or desire to upset the apple cart until they pick up their phone and the internet doesn’t work, the light switch doesn’t do anything, or the grocery store shelves are empty. Until that happens, we’re all just along for the ride.

I have a similar readout on the dash display of my Pete (with much lower numbers! ) and what it is is a guage that shows current fuel consumption as MPG. So when you’re in the accelerator hard, you’re burning more fuel and the number drops. If you’re cruising easy on easy terrain, the gauge rises. It helps give you time feedback on your driving habits that can help you drive in a manner that allows more efficient fuel usage.

Speaking of buying politicians backfiring, Surefire is the next company finding itself in the crosshairs for supporting a bunch of anti-gun Dems.

I’m kinda surprised it took this long for this story to make it here.

Yeah, I’m totally gonna have you make a complete rig for my Hi Power when it’s done. -
HPD Chief Acevedo has said that HPD will be ending its use of no knock warrants. This is a big deal and a direction that I fervently hope will be adopted by departments nationwide. https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Houston-police-to-end-use-of-no-knock-warrants-13626158.php

Well, the class itself is rather simple.

The lead officer from this raid is likely to face criminal charges for lying is the warrant affidavits essentially making up a CI. The victims here had less than a quarter ounce of weed and a few grams of an unidentified white powder (but not the heroin that was the reason for the warrant). They weren’t drug kingpins armed to the teeth, but they did end up dying in this drug war for what amounts to nothing more than a personal use quantity of weed and a 9mm handgun. All because an officer thought lying was more efficient than doing some actual investigation work. The war on drugs as national policy and the warrior culture built up around it in modern policing incentivizes this sort of behavior. It has to end. As far as I am concerned the deceased were simply protecting their home from actual criminals and justified in that defense. The officers involved should be charged with murder in addition to the charges related to malfeasance in their duties. https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Houston-police-shooting-affidavit-confidential-13620120.php

That’s like saying one should buy a Colt if they want a 1911. The HiPower is still a useful and viable gun. While I understand the economics behind Browning ceasing production, I’m happy somebody is still keeping the design in production.

Yep. It’s available in both a black and a stainless version.

Here’s where the HP discussion starts as a member bought one of these.

The BR9 got discussed in the Tisas 1911 thread. Why? Because it’s where we discuss anything Tisas. Don’t ask me why that is, I don’t know. I just know that it is. I’m just happy to have Hi Power anything discussed.

Records. Lots and lots of records.

My take on is that it is drilled into folks head that you don’t pull the trigger until you are ready to shoot as one of the 4 primary safety rules. Then Glock turns around and says “forget all that if you wanna clean our gun” and it just sticks in the craw for some folks. My dislike of Glock has nothing to do with disassembly procedures, but that’s my take anyways.

I’m no gunsmith, but you might be right about that.

I’m not watching the game because I’m working tonight. I did get to see the entirely insane bud light/Game of Thrones commercial. That went sideways with the quickness.
