  1. I unexpectedly have found myself spending the evening here. I’m going to grab dinner and beer somewhere downtown if you’re interested in joining me for lack of anything better to do like cleaning out your dryer lint trap or clipping your toenails.
  2. I don’t know off the top of my head. I’ll check. I do know one guy actually had his cut down to 16.5”. That one is a permanently suppressed hunting rifle.
  3. The BBQ Shop is my favorite BBQ in the city, and that means it’s my favorite on the planet.
  4. Yeah, nope. I’ve not had Carolina BBQ yet that wasn’t a crime against the poor pig that died to make it.
  5. On the opposite end of the state, in Memphis. It’s kind of our specialty.
  6. No I am not. My basic rule of thumb is that the glass budget should be twice what you spent of the rifle. That said, I’ve gotten really fond of NF glass. This is my third NF scope. Most likely it won’t be my last. Also, I’ve got a group of friends that all have this exact rifle in 6.5. Every single one of them loves it. Your only regret when it comes to this rifle is waiting as long as you did to buy it.
  7. My newest acquisition. It’s a Bergara B-14 HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor with a Timney Calvin Elite trigger, an EGW 20moa base, Vortex (Seekins) precision rings, and a Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 (that’s probably going to get swapped with the NF 3.5-15x50 that’s currently on my Montana .308 as I think they’re a better gun/glass match both ways). https://imgur.com/a/1pvNBBQ
  8. It’s high on the list to watch.
  9. I’ve noticed. It seems like every thread here from someone moving to the state is someone moving to ET. They’re leaving my little corner alone and I’m perfectly ok with that.
  10. If y’all can keep all the Yankees over on that side of the state, I’d be much obliged.
  11. Yep. I’m pretty sure I’ve done that in the past.
  12. That’s the rub. The letter of the law does not match up to this decision. That’s why they were approved in the first place. But this is America where nothing makes sense and words don’t mean anything.
  13. I fervently hope that no jurisdictions attempt any door-knocks based on sales records. While I’m not in any way suggesting that bump stocks will lead to some mass insurerction, I guarantee that door-knocks over them will absolutely lead to dead cops and civilians. Nobody wants that.
  14. You don’t. You really, really don’t.
  15. The quite common practice of using traffic enforcement as a means of backdoor taxation is one of my biggest beefs with modern policing. It has naught to do with public safety and everything to do with revenue generation. Using police in this manner effectively turns them into the highwayman of yore holding up motorists at gunpoint telling them to stand and deliver their money or their lives. It’s disgusting.
  16. Ohhhhh...my brain is illegal for far more disturbing reasons than simply knowing how to turn an AR into a machine gun with a coat hanger. But this is a family site, so we won’t discuss that here.
  17. I know how to make those too.
  18. You should dump this.
  19. Welcome! I lived in Ocean Beach for a while back in ‘06. SD is a great city, but TN is just great living. I think you’ll enjoy it.
  20. Shhhhhhhhh!!!!! Don’t give them any ideas!
