  2. Thank you for the correction. Appreciate it.
  3. I’m one of the 9 that got hosed in that deal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. Yes. Everyone absolutely should get training and learn how to handle a firearm if they are to carry one. Rights come with responsibilities, but it is up to the individual to meet those. It’s not for the government to set arbitrary hoops to jump through before a right can be exercised.
  5. My first car was a ragged out, beat to piss 1989 Ford Escort. I only had it for about a month as I managed to fall asleep at the wheel and roll it four times side over side. That began a quick succession of super cheap POS cars from buy here, pay here lots. It was a long while before I ever drove a decent car.
  6. This was my understanding as well. The driver carries liability while the car carries the comprehensive coverage.
  7. Yes. I’m pretty sure you’re correct. His legs are gone.
  8. Considering all the limitations on it, I’m not convinced it’s even “good” here.
  9. It is up to the other states, not TN to determine if the CCP is accepted in their state. So there is no way for someone with the state of TN to say it’s only for use in TN. The states on that map that are in tan have stated that they will only accept the enhanced. The ones in blue accept the enhanced and either do or have not explicitly stated they do not accept the CCP. It’s going to take a while for it all to shake out where it will be accepted nationwide. It isn’t straightforward, it isn’t clear, but it IS par for the course with our state legislature.
  10. This is not accurate. It is accepted by a fair number of states, but that number is shrinking. https://www.handgunlaw.us/states/tennessee.pdf
  11. Yes. A not insignificant amount actually. That number grows as more states look at out CCP and the differences between it and the HCP.
  12. I’m so used to seeing your name around here posting that I forget that it really does mean you're IN MN. But yeah, we only get one plate here. So no second plate available for both.
  13. The number to the Handgun Permit Unit is (615) 251-8590.
  14. I would say your assessment is correct. It looks like a 1 ton dually to me. I would garner that quite a few folks who have 1 ton pickups don’t actually mount their plates according to the cited TCA and quite a few cops are just as ignorant of that bit of law. The second is the reason for the plate. I bet he’s been pulled over more than once for not having the plate mounted in the rear of the vehicle.
  15. WASHINGTON - Attorney General William Barr said Monday that the Saudi Arabian shooter at Naval Air Station Pensacola was "motivated by Jihadist ideology." Barr says 21 Saudi military students are being removed from the US training program and returning home. Barr and FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich announced the findings of the criminal investigation in a press conference at the Department of Justice. Accused shooter 21-year-old Mohammed Alshamrani, a 2nd LT in the Royal Saudi Air Force, allegedly killed three U.S. sailors and injured several others. Authorities say the attack ended with a sheriff’s deputy killing the shooter. Many of the 21 cadets being sent home had contact with child pornography and possessed jihadist or anti-American material, Barr said. None is accused of having advanced knowledge of the shooting, which Barr said was motivated by “jihadist ideology” and has been classified as an act of terrorism. Officials have said Alshamrani hosted a party before the shooting, where he and others watched videos of mass shootings. The gunman had also apparently taken to Twitter before the shooting to criticize U.S. support of Israel and accuse America of being anti-Muslim, another U.S. official told the AP last month. http://weartv.com/news/local/us-sending-home-21-saudi-cadets-pensacola-nas-shooting-an-act-of-terrorism
  16. The BCM PNT along with the ALG trigger are two of the best milspec style trigger out there. They are a worthwhile addition if one doesn’t want to get super fancy with the trigger.
