I was completely unaware that this was an ongoing case here. I am generally supportive of the job that TWRA does and my few interactions with them have been pleasant and professional. I knew that they could cross onto private property, but was wholly unaware that they were leaving surveillance equipment behind them. I have serious issues with that. https://www.agweb.com/article/government-cameras-hidden-private-property-welcome-open-fields Seated at his kitchen table, finishing off the remains of a Saturday breakfast, Hunter Hollingsworth’s world was rocked by footsteps on his front porch and pounding at the door, punctuated by an aggressive order: “Open up or we’ll kick the door down.” Surrounded on all sides of his house, and the driveway blocked, Hollingsworth was the target of approximately 10 federal and state wildlife officials packing pistols, shotguns and rifles. And what was Hollingsworth’s crime? Drugs, armed robbery, assault, money laundering? Not quite. Months prior, in 2018, the Tennessee landowner removed a game camera secretly strapped to a tree on his private land by wildlife officials in order to monitor his activity without apparent sanction or probable cause. Repeat: Hollingsworth’s residence was searched by U.S. government and state officials, dressed to the nines in assault gear, seeking to regain possession of a trail camera—the precise camera they had surreptitiously placed on his private acreage after sneaking onto his property at night, loading the camera with active SD and SIM cards, and zip-tying the device roughly 10’ high up a tree—all without a warrant.

My grandmother has tested positive for COVID. It just hit her nursing home pretty hard I’ve been told.

No. They do provide a lot of emails explaining their Legal and legislative actions. There is a prominent link in each email to donate to the legal fund. So instead of the NRA tactic of “look! It’s bad people, give us money so we can do stuff!“ They are going the route of “here is what we are doing. If you would like to further support us, go here.“ It’s a small, but very significant difference to me.

This year I became a life member of both the NRA and the GOA. I ponied up full price for the GOA because I fully support and believe in the work they are accomplishing. I found a discounted rate for the NRA because while I am loathe to give them any money at all until WLP is gone, I do believe we need them around. They need fixing and having the ability to vote to change the board out is the only way to get that done.

New York Attorney General files suit to dissolve the NRA

The only thing that I would say she was wrong about was the “baseless” part. That’s the worst part about it. We’re here because WLP and his friends put us here. -

Yes. The stories of corruption and malfeasance have been leaking out for decades. I want them fixed, not dead. -

Maybe, maybe not. Statistical likelihood and Lord willing, I will never find out. That doesn’t stop me from training and preparing for that moment. I’m not willing to have already given up beforehand if that moment comes. I take the steps that I find reasonable, you do you.

I feel like this is a point where I should throw out the primary reason for carrying a single spare mag isn’t for a lengthy gun fight, but to fix malfunctions.

It’s amazing what now lives in our pockets these days, isn’t it?

I haven’t had cable tv in well over a decade. No Hallmark Channel means no Hallmark Channel movies.

This thread will never die. I’m totally here for that -
I don’t really think so. Glock’s crappy plastic sights are a long-standing beef that even many of their most ardent fans have with them. As far as using the sights as the fulcrum point to chamber a round when doing a one handed mag change, that’s a pretty bog standard technique taught by most trainers. It’s the reason damn near everyone recommends changing out the OEMs on any Glock intended for defensive use. Other manufacturers’ sights can experience the same failure point, and there are plenty of pics on the net to prove it. I just like to pick on Glock’s crappy plastic sights because, well, they’re dumb.

Yet another letter to the ATF...

Congress long ago abdicated its role in governance. -
Use your belt to rack a Glock with oem sights a few times and you’ll find out.
