Stopped by Classic Arms yesterday just to look around (did not plan on buying anything) and I walked out with S&W SD9. I'd post a picture but don't have a picture of it yet. I'll take it out this weekend to see how it does.

Any security cams at the cafe?

"LEts take a look at the forty seven percent: The 47% are probably you." Oddprimer, No, the 47% is not me. What he is making reference to is the people who do not pay income tax. Depending on what site you go to, that number goes as high as 49%. Either way, it's still outrageous. I saw the video of Romney on one of the local news stations and I thought the same thing you did until I saw the whole video and read the transcripts.

"The thing with that quote: What Mitt is saying is that the 47% are going vote for Obama because, well, free lunch and all. Turns out that that is bull. If you're on social security you are in the 47%. You paid for that and Mitt is calling you a dependent? You make less than 60,000 a year? Yep, you're in that 47%. You drive a liquor truck or something, eff you, you are on the dole.," Oddprimer, I beg to differ. He didn't say that at all. If I remember correctly, he said that 47% of the people that are going to vote for Obama are pretty much dependent on the Government ie, welfare, food stamps and anything else they can get out of the taxpayers for free. Social Security was paid into and the majority of the people receiving it are only getting a portion back of what they paid into it. How does driving a liquor truck make you on the dole? I guess according to you the girl working in Mcdonalds is a loser too. At least they are working and not looking for handout.

Navy SEAL Lessons Learned From Aurora Colorado

I have 3" Gerber flashlight and multi tool I carry everywhere. (As well as my 1911) You never know when you'll need them and are always glad you have 'em when you do need them. Until now, I never thought of using the flashlight in a self defense situation. -
We like to get a good game of "name that smell". Kills the boredom and everyone can play.

The ones I never get tired of are: She wore a yellow ribbon, Rio Grande, Rio Bravo, The sons of Katie Elder and The searchers.

Loved the stories. I'm anxious to read more. -
I picked it up for the first time to take to the doctor's office while I waited for my wife. I couldn't put it down! Good mag and I'm thinking about subscribing.

I saw that on the local news last night. If I remember right, the clerk said that he is normally armed but was not on this particular day..... The guy who got knocked out, needs to get on his knees and thank God that the clerk was not armed that day.

There are some things I like about Ron but I damn sure can't stand "the Donald". I thought for sure he would go off to the sidelines and watch the race but I guess I was wrong.

Let's talk flashlights.

I'll stick with my Gerber. I got mine for about 45 bucks and it takes three double A's. I'm not sure about the lumens or how many times it has been dropped but it still keeps on going. -
I bought the first season at Costco. I loaned them out to a buddy of mine and now he's hooked.

Congratulations! Enjoy the retirement. I retired in 2002 after 22 years in the Navy. I'd do it all over again if I had to.

Highly recommend the Henry Golden Boy. I bought mine with my grandson in mind.

I watched it Sunday night and thought it was ok. I just hope that it doesn't come on the same time that The Walking Dead does.

I suggest joining the Sherrif's reserve (if they have one) and get your foot in the door that way. It doesn't mean that you'll get hired right away when they have an opening but at least you'll already be trained. Just my 2 cents.

You can opt out....sort of....don't get a cell phone.
