It has been so long ago that I took it that I cannot remember the exact example they used, but the summary was there are some situations where you may even find yourself legally justified with the use of force. However in those same situations, although you may not spend any jail time you are going to be bankrupted in civil court once they are done with you.

Randy!!! Andy Walker here. Don’t know if you remember me, but I saw you at my first IDPA match I ever shot at CHRPC. When I first saw you shoot, I had no idea it was even possible to shoot a handgun as proficiently as you did. Not sure what you are reloading for, but when I reload the for the 308 I also include taking a bore brush and cleaning inside the neck of the case. This removes any carbon from the neck and provides more consistent tension when the bullet is seated.

I like it simply for the reciprocity provides in other states. I also found it helpful in the class where they basically went though what was a justified shooting and what was not.

USPSA or IDPA would be great if you are looking to compete with handguns. You’ll have to let us know how your first competition goes.
