  1. I've created a list of vendors that don't charge sales tax so I'll cross-reference that when searching. There are a surprising amount that don't charge and also have decent prices and lower cost shipping.
  2. Ah good ole 3V. Good luck when it comes time to change the spark plugs.
  3. A few months ago I decided to harness my vast power of autism and applied it to heavily tracking the ammo market and it has paid off a lot recently. For instance, last night SGAmmo raised their price on 50BMG ball by 50cpr making the cheapest 50BMG now basically $4/round. It's funny because I had a feeling 50BMG was ready to pop up so I ordered some yesterday, before the price hike. Also managed to snap up some new 308 for 70cpr shipped which sold out in a couple hours. Is anyone else around here as pedantic as I am or is this more of a cash and carry crowd?
  4. I tried to send you a PM but the system said you can't accept messages?
  5. 2018 Shelby GT350
  6. I love that documentary. Idiocracy is a great documentary too.
  7. Not just the Chinese but all black hat hackers, foreign and domestic. OPSEC in the US civilian world is laughable at best. I'm amazed there aren't more cyberattacks that have blatantly obvious real world affects like utilities and the like. There is a running joke in IT that there is never enough budget for adequate cybersecurity to prevent an incident but there is always plenty of money for remediation after an incident. The problem with critical infrastructure is that too much of it is computerized and so many proprietary systems were made and designed 10-30+ years ago by companies that no longer exist and, in many cases, there aren't any modern replacement options available without upgrading everything at a site to the tune of many millions of dollars so they continue to keep these ancient systems cobbled together and running because "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". You'd be amazed how many Windows 2000 workstations are running large, critical pieces of industrial equipment that are one wrong look away from ####ting the bed. Or, god forbid, the new IT guy decides that workstation needs to get on the network because reasons. It's game over in minutes. The people that in charge of all of this won't change until something catastrophic happens and by then it's all too late. You're better off making your homestead as self-sufficient as possible because we all know what happens when the, "I'm from the Government and I'm here to help" comes around.
  8. Polymer lower ~4oz Alloy lower ~10-12oz Shaving off nearly half a pound from one part is significant.
  9. I hear that Taylor Swift fella is really good at the sports ball
  10. I'm surprised no one brought up 2011s like Staccato, Springfield Prodigy, Tisas B9R DS, Stealth Arms Platypus, Girsan Witness2311, etc, etc.
  11. Seems 9mm and .223 keeps creeping down in price while 5.56 keeps creeping up slowly (go figure, NATO round). 9mm is in the very low 20s CPR and .223 is in the low 40s CPR while 5.56 is generally over 50 CPR. I think the popular calibers are pretty much at the bottom so these prices will linger for some time then inevitably start going up. When this starts happening is anyone's guess but I would imagine summertime we'll start seeing some ammo market volatility.
  12. Dang, I won't be out that way for another month. If it's still around, I'd take the whole lot.
  13. Just came across this. For a couple more cents per round for brass case: ATS Ammo 7.62x39mm 124gr FMJ
  14. I've ordered plenty from here and they have the best price around that I know of: Telaammo 7.62x39
  15. That more applies to the modular cans. Instead of buying 10 dedicated cans, you can buy 2 and a pile of accessories to get the same outcome and since the accessories aren't NFA items, it makes things a bit easier and less time consuming. Once you have them, cans are super low maintenance.
  16. From a budget perspective, that logic applies. If budget isn't a concern, throwing in a rimfire can along with another, since they are relatively cheap, also makes sense. My first can purchase, I bought 5, including a rimfire can. Buying them in batches, if you have the means, is the way.
  17. When the economy was genuinely better, more people probably would've spent a little extra for US made because they could afford to. Nowadays people's budgets are tighter than ever so they are ultimately price driven and country of origin isn't even a thought.
  18. Welcome! Former Nevadan as well. Left for the same reasons.
