  1. Is that thing even loaded? Also, that overstuffed checkbook is ripe for the pickin'
  2. Probably a good thing you are 6 hours away. This is the final piece I would need to finish off the RIA HC 10mm trifecta. GLWS.
  3. One objective metric automatically supersedes all other metrics? LOL okay.
  4. 5.7x28 is basically overpriced 22WMR, especially when you are talking varmints and plinking. Just some food for thought.
  5. What kind is it? Headstamps?
  6. As a younger fella, I've been hearing the "back in my day" stories since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Thing is, they will only ever be stories since we had the rotten luck of being born too late to experience life like it was in "the good old days". It's funny that the same people with the same old stories are also the ones still waiting for "someone" to do something about it. While y'all have been romanticizing the past while simultaneously complaining about how the world around us is going to hell, the opportunity to make any significant change has long since passed so enjoy your little story/therapy sessions while y'all still can. The world will simply continue to burn in the meantime.
  7. Call me an autistic, soul-less ginger but I've never been remotely sentimental about any firearm sale or trade-off. Guns are tools and should be treated accordingly. I get the same dopamine hit shopping for rifles and pistols as I do shopping for ratcheting wrenches and battery-powered ugga-dugga pistols.
  8. If most BBQ sauce wasn't thicc diabetes, I would generally agree. First time I had Alabama white sauce was at Sugarfire BBQ in St. Louis and it was a religious experience. Y'all can have your traditional BBQ sauce and all the limb removals that come with it.
  9. One 45-70 is plenty IMHO. After acquiring the modern Marlin holy trinity (Dark Series, SBL, Trapper), they are still BNIB and I only really care about my case hardened Henry and occasionally the BFR. Circling back to the OP's original thoughts, there is definitely a fat dopamine hit buying all the stuff that tapers off real quick for most. Also the idea of the firearm and/or firearm project has a bit of mileage but once the acquisition/project is done, the conclusion is kind of empty. Coming from a guy that has 42069 unfinished firearm projects and no real interest in completing any of them, I have more thoughts than I do answers.
  10. Seems like one of those journey versus destination conundrums. Outcomes are often not as you perceive them in your mind. Front-ended expectations generally lead to "so that's it?". Feelings are fickle like that.
  11. As the title says, I'm looking for a Glock 17L and 17C. Prefer Gen3 or older and as factory as possible. Wanted to see what was out there before buying new.
