them people are looking at how much has been spent on guns and ammo in the last year and calculating how much money they missed out on.   Why do I, a law abiding gun owner have to pay the tab for criminals who use guns illegally?   These people are simply idiots.

aside from the price of ammo this thread has been pure win.     I thought some of you would get a kick out of it.   Now I wish I had got a screen shot of that place yesterday, there is no .22 currently listed.  Somehow I don't think he sold out at the price he had on there.

I have several BP revolvers though all in .44.  fun to shoot.  I prefer the '58 Remington it is built like a tank and is easy to swap cylinders in and out of.  I use a cylinder loader rather than using the lever on the pistol.  Makes it very easy to do.     For the caps I found that by trying a few brands some fit better than others.  But I always give them a little pinch to snug them up some.   For cleaning I always just used tap water as hot as the tap would get and a few cloth patches to ream out the cylinders and barrel. Then oil it up with some non-Dino based oil.    I also use Crisco over the top of the ball.  It will keep fouling soft and allow the gun to run longer.  if the gun starts cycling hard I hit it with a bit of WD40 to finish firing the cylinder.  Then it's time to clean it.   Among other places HighRoad has a pretty active and knowledgeable BP subforum.  It is a good resource.

not in your area but there was some at my local Wally a few weeks ago.  It was the only centerfire they had.  Now it is gone.  I suppose it was the last available bewlitts left to hoard.

  Actually I don't live in fairly land.  What you write has nothing to do with what I posted. Seems you are mad because no one thought your rifle was cool.   As far as the last sentence in your post you may wish to take your own advice.
