Schumer, McCain say gun control bills will return
Mike.357 replied to RobertNashville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
eventually they will pass enough laws that everyone will be a potential lawbreaker. I think it is part of the plan. They will never pass a budget, certainly not a balanced one in my lifetime. Very few if any of them are worthy of office. -
I understand Willis, but damn a Raptor... I bought a new F150 a few weeks ago, a Raptor was on my drool list but opted for one more affordable and practical for use as a truck. the dealer did not even have a Raptor on the lot. I do have a soft spot in my heart for a Mustang though, maybe someday... A 67 Mustang was one of the first cars I was able to use way back when I got a license. Yours is very nice.

nice ride but I'da kept the truck

Oddly enough i gave my oldest grandson a rifle when he turned 5. He has not shot his little brother or anyone else yet. I guess he has not applied himself well enough. But he is a decent little rifleman, now 10 who has long understood gun safety and the potential for damage they can cause if misused. Of course he does not have unfettered access to it. But he, as well as his little brother pay little attention to any gun here in the house. No more than they do with my hammers or saws or other tools. -
yep sign me up for Sunday afternoon. I will help Garufa goad the Walmart ammo crew

I hate shovels about as much as anything. But when you gotta dig a hole one comes in handy.

McCain is a big reason why a candidate simply having a R behind his name does not guarantee my vote. If anything it makes me more suspicious of them. -
my original theory was the manager pursued to get a license number or more info for police. Seems that was true. I do not see that as out of the ordinary at all. I was robbed at gunpoint some time ago and i also went outside to see if I could get more information to give police. I will venture a guess that this action is a common occurrence after a robbery occurs. I do not see DaveTN as a news source, just another commenter on this board. This story from KNS and first hand comments from the store manager seem to clarify any question as to what actually happened. Previous stories included no direct quotes from the man, only second or third hand information.

this sheds some light, seems the manager returned fire of the guy fleeing.

no laughies here either, scaries maybe -
leave five minutes earlier whipper-snapper ;) I drive slow, not 30 in a 50 but less than 60 on the interstate on my work commute and never over the speed limit on surface streets. I used to haul ass. I discovered taking my time gives me less stress and does not even cost five minutes on a 20 mile commute. if it is me you are flipping off as you go by I will be the guy smiling and waving.

I am pretty sure Injun originated as a mispronunciation and stuck around. Yanno, just some frontiersmans vernacular and accent of the word Indian. I have heard people say ijit instead of idiot. my granpa used to pronounce words funny, Negro was pronounced Niggra, andmind you he did not have a racist bone in his body. When he said the word Miami is came out as Miamuh, Cincinnati was Cincinnatuh. Though in the instance Sour Kraut refers it is probably a slur. FWIW we never eat sauerkraut on hot dogs, it is sour cabbage ;)

I dunno. I believe if Nichol's thought the store manager broke a law he would have charged him. Killing someone is the Ace of Spades of crime, I believe all resources would be expended if they thought there was a crime committed. I also believe a jury can render a guilty verdict if the prosecutor can prove his case, regardless of who was killed.
-
I am pretty sure the DA bases his charges on laws being broken, not whether they can get a jury to convict. what kind of legal system would that amount to? And I would go out on a limb and assume the facts do clear the manager because of this thought line. There are stories in the KNS where someone is found not guilty of something.
-
corrosive for sure.
-
it has everything to do with it. if the armed citizen did anything wrong he would have been charged. And just because you did not read facts clearing the manager for his actions does not mean there weren't any.

Christie Sits With Huffington Post ...

that is what I was referring to. When the welfare club lifetime members can't get free stuff because there flat out isn't any money then they may opt for something different. Most likely they will take to the street to just up and take from those that have. And rest assured, the money will run out eventually. -
good deal, glad it all got sorted out for you guys.

unless,or should I say until, the bottom falls out of the economy and people suffer under liberalism there will never be a conservative president elected again. And by people suffering I am referring to those already on the government tit. As long as their hands are filled they are not changing their vote. I agree with Erik about staying home. Screw the lesser of two evils voting plan. what is the point of voting? I voted for Romney and immediately felt sickened when I pushed the vote button. Never ever doing that again. As for Christie, if he is running I guarantee he will not get my vote.
