  1.   text the words "redcross" to 90999.  That will donate ten bucks to the Red Cross via your cell phone bill
  2. the new Ram truck is the 2013 Motor Trend truck of the year.   That said I still opted to buy an F150 a couple of months ago.
  3.     that is about the lamest post I have ever read.  Nothing funny about people dying in nature's fury.
  4. no one will do anything.  People are still eating, making mortgage payments and buying new cars.      I laugh at bravado talk, again I say no one will do anything.   These guys are untouchable, it is not going to change in my lifetime.
  5. I bought a MS 290 Stihl chainsaw when we bought our house ten years ago.  I have used it every year.  Some years more than others.  It cost just under 300 bucks as I recall but it will last my lifetime easily.  A good investment in my book.   there have been several times where trees fell across my driveway.  It was nice to be able to make the driveway passable in minutes instead of trying to find someone to do it or to do it with an axe.
  6. after reading Dolomite's post I am glad I was unable to make it out there with the gang today.   We have been there many times together to shoot and I have not witnessed this kind of stupid stuff at the Moose before.   I am very happy no one got hurt.
  7. none of it matters.  Nothing the Big O's admin does will cause him any real grief.  Basically no one cares.  And certainly no one on the left cares what some Fox commentator says.
  8. I consider going to a gun show entertainment.  Most anything that is entertaining now costs money so the entry fee is not a deal breaker. I can't find Mosin Nagant magazine/trigger guard bolts anyplace else, I stumbled upon the one I needed at the last show.  That in itself made it worthwhile.  I barely even handle any guns, maybe a milsurp or two at best.  It is just fun to look around, people watch and BS with the guys I go with.   As for overpriced wares, no one is making anyone buy it.
  9. I don't give out my phone number in stores  I pay that bill and it is for my convenience.  I don't give the zip code.  I don't care how a store spends their advertising dollars, not my problem.     When I buy cigs some stores ask for a birthdate, some don't. Because I am a rebel I always lie and give the wrong date.  I pretty much only buy beer at the Breadbox store by the house and they don't ask for my ID but I always have it in hand anyway.  Like the manager said one day " you haven't gotten any younger since I first saw it", I now use that line on regular customers at the liquor store who repeatedly try to show me ID.   If I deem a store does not legally need my ID for a purchase I simply and kindly tell the cashier that they don't need it.   and IIRC it is illegal to ask for ID to verify the owner of a credit card.  Heck at most stores nowdays the cashier never even handles the card.
  10. I can't hear for the OP.  I purchased a powerball ticket yesterday, fairly sure it was not ammo being raffled.
  11. what am I missing?  I don't see a problem with this.
  12. stop and rob where the warden works regularly instructs patrons to buy lottery tix.
  13. give them this one   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axLRUszuu9I
  14. my phone is for my convenience.  They don't need it and I would have just said no.
  15. killing or murdering a person is pretty much illegal, not so sure the bible plays into it.
  16. the days of fixing my own cars is long over.  I hope to never even change oil again.
  17. wow,  some of you guys need to look at yourselves and ask why you enable users.   I know about three friends I would lend a gun to. One or two I would lend my gas powered tools to, but I will supply the mixed fuel.  I'd be happy to come help but them things mostly don't get out of my sight.  Don't ask for my truck,  that will never happen.  If you need it to move a couch or TV, sure I will help. If you need to move your household the answer will be no.  But I'd be happy to help lift and tote stuff if you go rent a U-Haul,   Aside from that I only have three relatives I would lend things to,  they would have unfettered access to anything, key ring, safe combination, anything I have.   I also have relatives I would lend nothing to.     Kind of funny,  but the people I trust would never ask to borrow any of that stuff.
  18. some of you get your buttons pushed to easily, LOL.   if it is not in a truck it is not a truck gun,  you can define a truck anyway that  pleases you for all I care.  lol
  19. could Obama possible look like a bigger dork while wearing a hat?
  20. is way too nice and a big liar too   :)
  21. lots and lots,  I am pretty sure a repeat would happen.
  22. you had to bring THAT up didn't you?   :shhh:
